Sigh, what is the date of the original manuscript of this alleged version ?

That is all I want to know.

Are there manuscript or scraps of manuscripts of this alleged Jewish version that can be dated to be at least 1,500 years old ? If there are a case no matter how weak, could be made that Christians modified it, which is exactly what you are trying to say.

If there are none, you have no case to make, because I know when the book was written as it appears in my Bible.[/QUOTE]

    Have you tried reading it?

The Jewish original version of Revelation (or Apocalypse) of John, much more coherent than the final one, was written very likely (in Greek) late 70 or 71 C.E. in Syrian Antioch by a temple of Jerusalem ex-priest named John. This work offered an explanation for the holocaust of 70 C.E., with the destruction of Jerusalem & its temple, all of that at the hands of the Romans, and also a badly needed hope for the Diaspora Jews, so they would not lose their faith.

    1. Globes, which are circular, are round from all perspectives as is the Earth.

    2. The context shows this to be metaphorical, not literal, language.

    3. This is a translation error in the KJV. The correct term used here was "expanse."

    4. Much of the language of Revelation is metaphorical, not literal.

    5. An examination of the context reveals this also to be metaphorical, not literal, language.

    6. This is from the perspective of people on the surface of the Earth, hence the terms "sunrise" and "sunset."

    7. There are plenty of four-legged insects such as Acanthocephala, Ailanthus Webworm Moths, Woodbark Butterflies, Thevenetimyia maculipennis, etc., etc.

    8. Jesus was not making a carpological declaration but was referring to that which was common knowledge for his audience.

    9. Ants behave on pre-programmed instinct, not command.

    10. Pi is equal to 3.

I have read all you have posted on this matter.

Once again, you cite an opinion, and do not supply what I am asking for.

Where are, and what are the dates of the earliest manuscripts of this version ? Why is this proving so difficult for you ?

Then why would a circle appear as an ellipse when viewed from a different perspective, such as at an angle?

Of the 51 translations I checked only 16 (31%) use the word "expanse." But go ahead and cherry the Bibles.. Just don't expect many followers.

So it's not god who is imparting this information, but mere primitive humans concocting the scriptures. Okay, I can buy that.

    ............Count 'em...................................................................Count 'em

You just got an F in biology :p

My bet is that you didn't even bother to look up "carpological" when you copied/pasted this little blurb. In any case, Jesus was flat out wrong. Q: At what point does one start trusting what he said?

Considering your abysmal understanding of insect legs why would anyone take your word for anything you had to say about insects? Heck, you don't even understand the nature of instinct. And it hasn't gone unnoticed that you purposely ignored the queen's role as "overseer or ruler,"

And a cup and three quarters of lemon juice is the same as two cups.

    Pi = 3.14159265359. . . . . OR just about 5% more than 3.

Now you just got an F in math.

My mistake. What I should have said was, "1. Globes, which are circular, are round from all perspectives as is the Earth."

How does any of that change the fact that רָקִיעַ means "expanse"?

How about you read the passage in context instead of shoehorning your biases into the text?

The Book of Daniel is propaganda that includes figurative language. It is another subject

In Judaism he's not considered a prophet at all.

That's why The Book of Daniel is only included in the poetry and writings and not among the Prophets

There was no Daniel. He's based on a popular character called Danel from much older Ugarit stories. 14th century BCE.

Nope, just cherry picked opinions to fuel an anti Bible/ Christian agenda.

Nope, it does not. In the example given two measurements of the object are given. The text then says the line used to measure the circumference was 30 cubits long, the line.

I can measure a 2x4 that is six feet long, with a line of 8 feet long.

The circumference of the object was never stated.

Poorly taken pictures without links are not very reliable evidence. Check out the pictures here:

    Ailanthus webworm - Wikipedia

    And here:
    Thevenetimyia speciosa - Wikipedia

They may be hard to see, but they have six legs. And think about it. Insects are known for having six legs. An insect that naturally had only four legs would be commented about just as a four legged man would be. The lack of comments indicates that these insects have six legs.

The dimensions of “the Sea of cast metal” given at 1 Kings 7:23 as well as 2 Chronicles 4:2 state that it had a diameter of 10 cubits and that “it took a measuring line 30 cubits long to encircle it.” These proportions appears to have been simply the closest round numbers. It is equally feasible that the circumference and diameter described interior and external dimensions of the basin respectively.

Now that is a reasonable argument.

Just like the pH of pickles, which ranges from 3.5 to 3.9, can be expressed as 3. Or the pH of eggs, which is 7.8, can be expressed as 7.

So which is correct, a diameter of 10 or a circumference of 30? Both cannot be correct. Either the circumference is 30 and the diameter is 9.548 or the circumference is 31.419 and the diameter is 10.

Fine, then a diameter of ten and a circumference of 31 would be far better.

Then it is equally feasible that Jesus didn't raise a widow's son from the dead (Luke 7:11-18) but merely roused him from a coma.

It doesn't, but that's not all it means. It also means "firmament."

    Strong’s Definitions:
רָקִיעַ râqîyaʻ, raw-kee'-ah; from H7554; properly, an expanse, i.e. the firmament or (apparently) visible arch of the sky:—firmament.

And the fact remains that of the Bibles I checked 69% don't use the term "expanse."

Fact is, for whatever reason, many insects sometimes fold their rear legs up and against their body, which is obviously the case in your two photos. And if nothing else, you're still left having to explain the six legs that show up in my photos. In addition, I challenge you to produce any scientific source that says they only have four legs, or any insect has only four legs. Thing is, six legs is one of thee defining characteristics of insects. And if they truly only had four legs they certainly wouldn't be classified in their respective genera or families along with their six legged brethren.

    insect
    [ in-sekt ]

    noun
any animal of the class Insecta, comprising small, air-breathing arthropods having the body divided into three parts (head, thorax, and abdomen), and having three pairs of legs and usually two pairs of wings.

    ____________________________________________________________

    What Is An Insect?

All living things can be divided into two main groups: the Animal Kingdom and the Plant Kingdom. There are many different kinds of creatures in the Animal Kingdom, and there is a scientific system for grouping animals into smaller and smaller groups that are more and more similar.

The Animal Kingdom is first subdivided into groups called phyla (singular: phylum). The phyla are divided into "classes," the classes into "orders," and so on until we get to the smallest division called species.

The ranking of the different subdivisions is shown in the examples of four different animals in the following chart, Examples of the Scientific Classification System. This method of classifying animals is used by scientists. The genus and species names are italicized, and the two names together are the scientific name of the animal. For example, the scientific name of the house fly is Musca domestica.

There are 15 phyla of animals, and each phylum contains animals that have a combination of characteristics that animals in other phyla do not have. The phylum Arthropoda are the animals with jointed legs, segmented bodies, and a tough or hard outer covering that also serves as their skeleton (exoskeleton). Insects have these characteristics, so they belong to Phylum Arthropoda, but so do millipedes, spiders, ticks, crabs, lobsters, and crayfish, which are not insects.

The class Insecta, or insects, are the Arthropoda that have three pairs of legs, a segmented body divided into three regions (head, thorax, and abdomen), one pair of antennae and, usually, wings. Other Arthropoda classes have more than three pairs of legs and only one or two body regions, and they never have wings. Other common classes of Arthropoda are Crustacea (such as sowbugs, crayfish, crabs), Diplopoda (millipedes), Chilopoda (centipedes), and Arachnida (such as spiders, ticks, mites, scorpions).

    Basic Insect Anatomy
As you may remember from elementary school [or not], the most basic definition of an insect is an organism with three pairs of legs and three body regions – head, thorax, and abdomen. Entomologists, scientists who study insects, might also add that insects have a pair of antennae and external mouthparts. As you learn more about insects, you will find there are some exceptions to these rules.
