“How can we resist the temptation to look at pornograph ?

I would alternate the three steps in the OP with another 3 things so that you can avoid everything that one should avoid.

1- Praying

2- Remembering God all the time during the day

3- Loving God more than anything else

I would say those 3 would very much help us in keeping the commandments

Comparing porn to heroin seems a stretch. But I get that it makes a kind of sense, given how hysterical people get about sex and sexuality.

Three helpful steps are (1)*Quickly averting our view if we are exposed to erotic imagery. (2)*Guarding our thoughts by focusing on positive things and praying to God. (3)*Guarding our step by avoiding films or Web sites that contain pornography.

(4) Sperm count (for those who .... while watching)
A study involving males ejaculating 2.4 times a day over a 10 day period found that their sperm count dropped and did not pick up to the original levels until 5 months later. Now imagine the effects on men who are masturbating more than 2 times a day and for over a 10 day period.

Uh... considering that men produce thousands of sperm quite regularly... how is a slight drop a problem?

Maybe ask yourself why I'm tempted to look at porn? And why is it wrong to do so?

I'd personally look for a blind spot so I could jerk off while watching it.

That is the best reason anyone can find for masturbating.

Well, all that was specified was a drop. Either way, as long as it's not eliminated, I still fail to see the problem.

Believe it or not I'm trying to give decent advice to men who are addicted to porn and masturbation. I figured lots of men who masturbate do so while watching porn. Seems you have an issue with advice to masturbate in moderation. Not sure why you're defensive.

Low sperm count can affect testerone and chances of getting a woman pregnant.

I'm not trying to come off as defensive, so I'm sorry if I am. I'm just trying to see where the problem lies. I don't have any problem with giving advice; if anything, since you're clearly more knowledgeable on the subject than I am, the clarifications I'm asking for will reinforce the importance of your advice.

I don't really see any real issue with low testosterone (which I can easily just raise back up by listening to Manowar for a few hours), and in terms of getting a woman pregnant, sure that's a problem if a couple is trying for a baby(I should have said that I did understand that potential problem), but if no baby is wanted at the moment, it sounds like it could be another check against unwanted pregnancy (of course, when used in tandem with other methods. Strap it on, people).

Of course, moderation in all things is desirable, so even though I may not see the problems of low sperm count specifically(except when trying for a baby), I absolutely support and second your advice to men who are addicted to porn and masturbation.

Only by fear of the consequences (if any). Always keep in mind the consequences. If the gain outweighs the pain then you're in for a treat. If not, congratulations! For a second there you've just passed on that temptation. Wait a second more and start all over again :).

If you see a woman or picture that tempts you use the 2 second rule, dont look for 3 seconds turn away after the second second.

its only a problem if there is addiction but Ive read that 65 percent of american men admit to looking at porn once a week or more. Thats a lot so porn addiction is huge. Lots of people men and women in sex addicts anonymous program.

Once a week is not an addiction, and it lacks any ground to support that people who look at "once a week or more" are compulsively seeking it out. People watch far more Game of Thrones in a week without it causing major disruptions to their lives.
