Exodus 3, use of 'g-d' word as relates to the Tetragrammaton?

Is there a distinction in the description preceding JHVH, ie the word 'g-d' there, that in your tradition, is different from use for 'any god'? Or is it merely that 'I am the God of the Hebrews, ' In other words, the context, that lends to the singular nature of the God reference. Shalom
