I have always thought of spirit in a material way, just not something we can see - a form of energy, yes, but nothing we know of.
I remember, years ago, telling someone how we are all connect to this "energy", but there are two different kinds, from two different sources, with two different...
I believe this is a good direction for Christians to meditate on.
I see Spirit as Electromagnetism/Energy mixed with Electronic Communication and Consciousness.
Our Spirit has always existed and will continue to exist. It is the part of us that is indestructible.

We are not saved through "working our way into the kingdom of heaven".
We are regenerated and renewed in the Holy Ghost, "not by works of righteousness which we have done." (Titus3:5).
We are not born again through giving $5 to the poor, or even $5,000,000.
That only occurs through faith in...

I believe it does misrepresent Jesus. On the one hand it's saying it's not by works we are saved but then the video suggests works are needed. It's by grace through faith in Christ Jesus that we are saved(see Ephesians 2:8-9). Reading through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus was welcoming to...

Those are important, and I don't think the prophets and apostles wasted their time when they wrote. One could argue that these are subsets of the above, but I don't think we can neglect them.

grace is an act of unconditional love. kind of like a parent that doesn't stop loving their offspring simply because they erred. much like the prodigal son.

I think Grace alone simply means that salvation and eternal life is a gift which is to be received from God. It is not something we can earn or achieve by human effort.
What is the definition of grace? | GotQuestions.org
