Acts 16:3
Paul wanted to have him go on with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek.
1 Corinthians 7:19
Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing.
Galatians5:6
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value.
Galatians 6:15
Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything;
I rely on evidence.
Saint Paul or Saul of Tarsus has exclusively focused on misogyny, sexophobia and similar.
That's not what Christianity is.
Christianity is about social justice. The entire Christendom (including Catholics) relies on a fake Christianity.
The real Christianity is the one the...
Galatians5:6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. All that matters is faith, expressed through love.
This is what matters in Christ Jesus.
I don't think that the Psalmist is saying anything contradictory to Paul.
If the works of man are by grace, then why would Paul preach the 'gospel of grace' as something new?! [See Acts 20:24]
Again, that's a modern Protestant interpretation of the text that you've been taught. "The law" in Paul is the Torah. Whenever you see "law" in Paul, understand he's taking specifically about the Torah. So "works of the law" are not any works, they are the customs expected of Jews in the Torah...
It doesn't seem so to me, since his argument is not only about Christians, saying Moses laws are all cruft added because of sins until Jesus comes. This opposes what other Paul is saying. One Paul says the law and circumcision have value and commission someone to preserve the oracles of God...
Steady on!
Let's take a closer look at the two passages that you believe are contradictory (despite the fact that Paul is responsible for both).
Galatians5:6 is talking specifically about the practice of circumcision. Being circumcised, and being uncircumcised, mean nothing 'in Christ' Why...
You didn't even once cite the texts that explain on a fundamental level, the antithesis that exists between faith and works?
By definition alone, the principles are incompatible - you either earn your salvation, or it is by the grace of God that one is saved. What are you going to do, somehow...
Was John the first one to baptize or where the Jews practicing it before John? If before, do you know when? Did it come out of the law God gave Israel in the desert?
Taking Possession of What God Gives: A Case Study in Salvation

So why, one might ask, if so many passages of Scripture teach the necessity of baptism, is there so much controversy about baptism being a condition of salvation? Several reasons...

Asking me if I love Jesus seems to be a distraction. I have answered the same question in two previous posts, 543 and 792, making it entirely clear that I do. What you seem to find difficult to accept is that I can love Jesus whilst not following the letter of the law. From my perspective, you...
According to the Catholic Church, the moral truths of the Torah pertain to "the inner man" and it is this moral dimension of the OT 'law' which St. Paul describes himself as delighting in and as justifying people in God's sight: “for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but...
Yes, every knee.
Faith is mixed with works, for living Bible faith is that "faith, which worketh by love" (Galatians5:6):
Jas_2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Jas_2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith...
Sorry, last question, why do sinners run free in the world doing harm to other sinners, and also doing harm to repentant people? I believe it was Paul whom was executed by the Romans.
No worries Os. According to the scriptures even in those who profess to be "believers" there can be wheat (true believers) and tares (name only). No one can know who they are for sure accept God. We are not to judge others accept according to righteous judgment (according to God's Word) it says...
The hermeneutical key is in this passage:
"He has abolished the law with its commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace, through the cross, thus putting to death that hostility through it. So he came and proclaimed peace...
Yes, this is the modern mantra. Just love, nothing else matters.
Jesus used the word repent more than he used the word love. Repent of what ? Sin, failure to keep the enunciated and written standards of God.
Much is made of Jesus being involved with the marginal members of society and this is...
There are many man made beliefs that are held by most Christian denominations. The two that are most harmful sound so pious:
The Bible is the word of God
...and without error
There's lots of great in the scriptures, but Christianity is a revealed religion. The scriptures even tell us that...
