    cause-and-effect: "cause" require evidence too

This is an interesting question, and one that needs addressing. Firstly, Josephus is a member of the royal and priestly line, and some of his relatives became high priests. He clearly lived a privileged life, and was respected by a number of emperors, and other high ranking Romans, for his...

    cause-and-effect: "cause" require evidence too

Josephus may have been 'very aware of the Christian movement within his country', but he didn't record much information about it. During the first year of the war of 66-73 AD he was appointed general of the Jewish forces in Galilee, and in The Jewish War, III, 500-520 he gives a detailed...

A ground-zero position when talking about the Bible

Seems like the majority of scholars don't know who wrote 2 Peter 3:15-16. As for Luke and Acts, they don't know who wrote those either, and according to Luke 1:1-3, Luke was simply a teller other people's tales, with no source material given as to the actual witnesses. As for the separate...

A ground-zero position when talking about the Bible

I find that Peter, at 2 Peter 3:15-16, Peter counts ALL the letters of Paul as being with the rest of Scripture. Mark and Luke travel with Paul - 2 Timothy 4:11; Acts of the Apostles 12:25. There is No change of style in Paul's writings.

    Jesus is God.

'James' the brother of John is Not a fleshly brother. 'James' the apostle was already dead at Acts of the Apostles 12:1-2 Jesus' brother James is a different James of Acts of the Apostles 12:17 B; Matthew 13:55-56

What part of "the Gospels were not written by eyewitnesses" was not understood? The Book of Mark is in the Gospels, and the author of Acts is also anonymous. It does not matter that a book is saying "such and such" when that book is 3rd party hearsay. Here: Acts and the Gospel of Luke make up a...

According to Mark 14:51-52; Acts of the Apostles 12:12-13 there were eyewitnesses. Bible writer James was a half brother of Jesus and so was Jude 1:1

    JW's Jesus is Archangel Michael?

Some words in the language of the writing such as quick do not have a good corresponding word for the same in another language. I think that it is helpful to look at other scriptures which have the same word. For instance Luke 18:8 Acts of the Apostles 12:7 Acts of the Apostles 22:18 Acts of...
