Will Scientists be our future gods?

The thing about science is that it is testable. It's the purpose of peer review and repeatability that keeps knowledge in check. Gods are absolute, and unless a God-like process is shown to be consistent then scientists will never be considered Gods. Merely extant observers.

    In pornography a "moral dilema"?

I wish she'd explain or define 'sexual exploitation.' I honestly don't think it includes pornography... None of her articles are talking about pornography; they deal with forced prostitution and human trafficking. Which any sane person would be against. I'm not sure what to make of Linda...

    In pornography a "moral dilema"?

That's because the act itself is illegal. Where exactly would one find and purchase these 'illegal' productions? Certainly not the legal outlet that the vast, vast majority of pornography comes from. Underground? Well, you can find drugs, sex, killings, and generally anything else you could want...

    In pornography a "moral dilema"?

Pornography is as much a moral dilemma as sex itself.

Fossilized, 'Pompeii' Forest Discovered Under Ash

Honestly, I think the view is probably the most exciting thing a time machine would be good for.

    Assuming Evolution is True......

Obviously. ;) Smaller brain size tends to point toward less aggressiveness and teamwork. Not necessarily a decrease in intelligence (as a population), although it might be individually.

The assumption of evolution can cause problems

If you're following evidence to it's logical conclusion, you're experiencing a bit of tunnel vision.

    Are crystals magic?

Of course. They lay within geology and the formation of minerals. They're beautiful to boot. No.

This is interesting: Split brain with one half atheist and one half theist

I think he just got caught up in the speech. "So I said do you believe in god, and the right hemisphere went straight to Yes. Asked the left hemisphere the same and it went straight to No. So we have a right hemisphere who is an atheist, and left hemisphere believes in God."

Presidential wanna-be Michele Bachmann: "Let students decide" (Video)

Why should we let students decide anything? I'm certain if given the option, they'd decide to go outside and play.

Big blunder by the Institute for Creation Research

Not lucky, rational. :) You're right, it didn't. But it is implied. It's the reason Jesus is referred to as The Redeemer. Redeeming us from what? Being cast out and dying. This is just a semantics debate, and if you want to continue, I'll cede in advance. What I was attempting to get across...

This is interesting: Split brain with one half atheist and one half theist

As to the OP: Very interesting. Since the right hemisphere is usually associated with creativity and feeling, and the left with logic and reality, it's understandable. The big question is why does one tend to win out over the other in a connected brain? Could it be as simple as the amount it's...

This is interesting: Split brain with one half atheist and one half theist

If you do have multiple personalities, the latter has never shown themselves here. This, like most other things you imagine, is lacking basis in reality.
