    Love

Love is not a conscience thing.....love just is or it isn't. Rare, is true love and if it IS, it is to be cherished even if it is simply between a dog and its owner. Most concepts of love can not endure the passage of time.

Should a child love its parents no matter what?

Then it would hold true that some souls voluntarily chose to be born of abusive parents. Does the soul gain knowledge or a higher level of existence by voluntarily choosing an existence of pain, torture, and death? Further, could a soul choose to be born of parents that provides a life of...

Should a child love its parents no matter what?

I agree Melody. And while the Love is true it matters not the actions of the one in which you place that love. The ability of True love to remain true regardless of the actions levied against it is what is at stake within families, with friends, and across religious and social boundaries.

Should a child love its parents no matter what?

Aternate Question.... Should we love God, Jesus, (Insert all might entity here) no matter what even if bad things happen to us?

    Judas, a traitor forever?

Does it matter to Judas if we don't forgive him? Likely not if he has received the forgivesness from the man he wronged. Does it matter to ourselves if we can't forgive him? Yes as Jesus asks that we do so.

    Atheism's Unanswered Questions

I believe that it isn't necessary for anyone to 'prove' their beliefs. One should just believe. If one feels compelled to prove their beliefs, I hope, for their sake, that they are attempting to convert others. Otherwise they are trying to convince themselves.

    Reform or Revolution?

I find it curious that there is an apparent problem within the US yet the Government seems to spend more time attempting to influence other countries, either directly or indirectly, than listening to its own constituents. Could this be related to the lack of organization of the 'have nots'...

    Eating meat for medical necessity?

I agree Melody and I believe that posts to this thread are in line with your comment. People aren't attempting to convert others, they are just explaining their own decisions. I encourage them to continue to do so as it aids those that seek understanding and guidance.

    Terrorism and the Terrorists Mind

Thank you for the insight regarding the motivation of Terrorist. All good input. This leads me to wonder, is there is anything that can be done to voluntarily or involuntarily to eliminate terrorism? Will we be forced to live under the shadow of violence from radical political individuals...

    Eating meat for medical necessity?

I think that perhaps we should look what we eat squarely in the face before we eat it. Perhaps we may sense what Druidus is talking. Bite into a cow while it is restrained and staring terrified at you.

Evolution Vs. Creation, why are threads so popular?

I think there are two most important questions, the one listed above and....'Are there other intelligent life forms on other planets with an idea of a God figure?'

Why does God care if we believe in him or not?

I think belief and faith in anything gives an individual mental strength ( a crutch to lean on in hard times).

What you can do if you care about an issue

I think the G8 confernence became a platform to rally the Nations against terrorism.

    Terrorism and the Terrorists Mind

What do the terrorists gain in the end. Assume, for instance, that all foreign troops pull out of Iraq. The terrorists have been killing indiscriminately all people who support the US and Britain including Iraqis. Do they gain control of Iraq, the oil, or the people themselves? (With...

    Terrorism and the Terrorists Mind

What are the motivational factors that compels a terrorists to kill innocent men women and children? (I guess the question could be rephrased; "What are the motivational factors that compels politicians to kill innocent men women and children?")

    Bush's comments on London explosions
