This is why (most so during national emergencies) those with more than enough resources need to distribute wisely. If that means taxing the hell out of the immensely rich, so be it. It is preferable to people dying and the system they got rich under falling apart.
A very good point. However, the status quo of international relations doesn't always reflect the status quo of a particular regional situation. I don't disagree that genocide isn't occurring or that by supplying military aid to Israel the US isn't complicit in it. I am disagreeing that US...
Especially by a man whose rhetoric previously led to a violent riot intended to stop the democratic voting process (pretty sure there's a specific name for that kind of thing).
Are they pro-genocide or pro-status quo when it comes to international relations with Israel? Like, do you think Joe is cheering on the death of Palestinians?
I don't disagree that his actions should speak louder than his words. But these actions are tied to international relationships that...
My problem with the "genocide" piece is that Joe Biden doesn't appear to be as "pro-genocide" as people make him out to be considering that despite continuing to supply Israel with weapons, his administration appears to be trying to reign in Netanyahu behind the scenes (and a bit more in front...
I've read through some of the report (it's long) as well as another report from them referenced in the OP's article's report, and, so far, I am still feeling there's some bias in that the conclusions are very much focused on the economic values of the group publishing it.
Not that I disagree...
I am a critical reader and consider the sources. This is crucial to effective debate. Just because I haven't read it doesn't mean I won't.
Have you read it?
Edit: This is taking into account that the posted article IS NOT the report.
I do agree with it. But that wasn't the point of my post.
Edit: Let me clarify. I am for debate and discussion, but not at the expense of emergency response. It's one thing to debate and discuss pandemic responses, and another thing to dismiss health experts based on economic effects. I am...
I haven't looked at the report, but it was put out by these guys according to the article:
https://committeetounleashprosperity.com/our-mission/
"The mission of the Committee to Unleash Prosperity is to educate policy makers and the public about government policies that have been proven, in...
What I mean is they were hoping for the response from Israel they got, making Israel look bad due to a bigger death rate and suffering of the citizens.
This does of course, make Hamas horrible. But it's not an excuse for Israel to kill citizens. I don't see a terrorist group that did horrible...
For me, I can't just watch a video at any time, and it takes longer than reading. I find it helpful when transcripts are provided or the relevant part quoted.
There's mistrust, then there's belief. Rioting in the Capitol after a Trump rally while electoral votes were being certified for Biden indicates belief and not simply mistrust. Specifically, unfounded belief.
But they need the people in order to get richer and maintain the wealth. "But the Proles, if only they could somehow become conscious of their own strength, would have no need to conspire. They need only to rise up and shake themselves like a horse shaking off flies." - George Orwell, 1984
