Unless divine experiences with God are considered proof of his existence, God is either one of three things:
1. Non-existent
2. Completely uninteractive with the universe
3. The very universe we live in.
Yet people still believe our very existence is ultimate proof that some God...
You can't "know". Faith has to do with this...
It's possible. Humans can lie...
If anything, probably just the ideas.
We don't.
We don't.
Yes
I don't believe so.
Good question.
Of course
No.
No. Just consider the morals it tells you...
You know he put on the banana after you saw him put it on. That doesn't mean anything.
Basically, you are saying God is guessing everything we will do.
If God has knowledge of the future, but we do not follow that future, then his foreknowledge is worth nothing.
Actually, if God is all-knowing, he does know what you will do. He knows the past, present, and future. Free will also contradicts His "master plan" for every individual on this planet. So God has no point in making a person who will turn against Him, does He?
Right, I believe my post said that....
Unless, of course, it was just some activity of the brain that created the experience.
And I also wonder why there have been people from every religion experience their God. Which is right?
I had a very tough time comprehending what his points meant...If you could dumb those down for me that would be appreciated.
But yes, I agree that you can have morals without any omnipotent being taking part.
There is no reason to believe in a God until you had a real personal experience with Him. Other than that, there is no reason to believe in Him, and therefore makes it irrational.
Hi. I'm new here, as you know.
I consider myself a Humanist, and look forward to discussing anything on the forums.
So....yeah, that's it :).
