Criticism of religion and LGBT – equal freedom?

Censure happens with both — both justified censure and unjustified censure. If I lived in a country that would not permit criticism of LGBT movements, making it a topic that is out of the question in any public speech, television show or article, I would feel oppressed.

Do the numerous mistakes in the Bible play a part in driving people away from religion?

Do ex-Christians or "Christians by name" tend to think that since the Bible is flawed, religion is false?

    From atheism to idolatry?

I came by this blog post. Idolatry and Atheism From what I understand, the writer is saying one cannot be an atheist consistently — that one lapses to either idolatry or nihilism. But I think it is interesting they write also that an atheist should worship nothing — to be an atheist —...

What is enough charity from an individual?

With charity, I don't mean just money or objects you might give away, but anything that you would yourself consider charity. It can be to a friend of relative as well. I'm asking generally about people over the age of 12 who are sane, but not limited to those who have wealth.

    Hypocrites (non-Muslims defending Islam)

Non-Muslims who defend Islam against the futile attacks of blatant islamophobes. What makes them hypocrites? That they're either secretly or openly hostile to Islam. They're only accepting toward what they think Islam could be if it was as corrupt as Christianity. I say blatant islamophobes...

    About how Christians hear God

I listen to testimonies sometimes from Christians. As a rule, the speaker mentions one or more of the following God or Jesus عليه السلام speaking to them Them hearing a voice say something to them God telling them something. Usually people become alarmed when they hear a voice and others...

    Atheism and arrogance

Are atheists arrogant because they don't believe or do they not believe because they are arrogant? I believe the latter is the correct view. Qur'an 7:146 "Those who behave arrogantly on the earth in defiance of right - them will I turn away from My signs: Even if they see all the signs, they...

Are LGBT people happier now than they were a hundred years ago?

With all the corruption and immorality that has been spread for their sake, apparently, you'd think they had gained some advantage. What is the advantage though? Are they better off now?

Can you acknowledge that you were wrong and Islam was right on cousin marriages?

(the 'you' on the title is in plural) The Surprising Truth About Cousins and Marriage Any abnormalities in children from first cousin marriages is as likely to occur as any abnormalities in children who are born to a 40-year-old mother (compared to a 30-year-old.

"Biblical" homosexual marriages and marriages between men and animals

If you accept homosexual marriages as biblical, shouldn't you by the same logic also accept marriages between human beings and animals, as biblical? Of course, Exodus 22:19 does say: “Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death." And other similar passages can be found in the Bible...

Why would someone acknowledge the existence of God but refuse to worship Him?

He has sent many messengers and created a world filled with signs for people to reflect. Why would someone acknowledge His existence, but refuse to worship Him and to obey the commands He has told people to obey (or, the commands people think he has made known)?

    Suppressing sexual desires

There's this idea around among those who believe in God, but reject God's prohibition of homosexual acts, that because people, they say, don't become homosexual out of their choice, homosexuals cannot be required to suppress their sexual desires. What I would like to know, is where does that...
