    whats your beef with brexit?

We've been here before. Of course the older generation has a right to vote. In practise this means that the younger generation will have to undo the mess their parents and grandparents created for them. But that's democracy in action.

You obviously don't get this so I'll try to make it simple for you. Because some form of evil (be it a regime, a terrorist, a murderer etc.) bases their actions on a religion, that does not make the religion bad. It is the people who are interpreting it to suit their own wishes that are bad, Got...

    whats your beef with brexit?

Rubbish. If we leave but try to get access to the single market - that's when then the UK would be 'over a barrel' as you say. A mess of our own making.

Let's try to understand those people who are trying to change the game

Using a sporting analogy, the ancient English game of football has spawned many other games though people changing the rules - Rugby Union, Rugby League, Aussie Rules Football, American Football etc. Through it all, the original game of football is still played - and it's the most popular sport...

April 1st - April Fools' Day. They picked the most suitable day to leave the EU didn't they?

The Brothers Grimm are more factually correct than this rubbish The first sensible thing you've said. Have you been reading the other posts?

    whats your beef with brexit?

Absolutely not. I never surrender. That's why I'll carry on fighting for us to remain in the EU and not throw away all the benefits we enjoy now, swapping them for isolation and a Little England mentality.

    whats your beef with brexit?

It means everything. It means that 35% of the public can drag us out of the EU. Then, in 5 or 10 years time, we'll drag them back in - having wasted billions of pounds and thousands of jobs on the whole pointless exercise.

I can see that you don't know much about the subject. The KJV is a TRANSLATION of ancient writings. Translations DO NOT ADD MATERIAL. They merely represent what's already there. Do you understand now?It is quite a simple thing to grasp.

    whats your beef with brexit?

The Brexit referendum was the biggest waste of time and money - none of it was necessary. It's obvious that, even if we do leave the EU, then we'll rejoin in a few years. And we'll have less influence than we would have had if we'd remained. Not only that, all of the economic wos we're going...

What is the Justification for Capitalism? For Socialism? For Communism?

I disagree. Patriotism causes wars and divides us. Fair enough - I stand corrected. It's still annoying though. Pride comes before a fall. I despise these kind of people. Thank goodness, they are a very small minority over here. Most Americans I come across (not just the yobbos) have similar...

That's about regimes rather than religions. The west is primarily Christian. Christian 'diktat' (as you call it) was the basis of government here for 1,500 years. During that time many atrocities took place. The west is now more advanced and liberal while the predominantly Muslim countries have...

What is the Justification for Capitalism? For Socialism? For Communism?

You don't think so? To quote Samuel Johnson - 'Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.' Besides which, we don't get subjected to Canadians or Australians shouting that their country is the greatest - only Americans seem to do that. The American superiority complex really annoys me - if...

    Black Mirror

Black Mirror is the best British sci-fi show of all time - although the earlier series were better. That's before they started making the actors adopt American accents in half of the episodes. Why on earth did they do that?

Why, when their Holy book is no more violent than that of the Jews? There is no difference. I'll admit to that. I joined this thread in its later pages. My responses to you have been to your words I have quoted. And, if you talk to Muslims, you'll find they're just the same. And, in the...

What is the Justification for Capitalism? For Socialism? For Communism?

Plus a heck of a lot of luck Come off it - the US had won its independence long before then - but in the Land of the Free slavery continued for longer than it did in other western nations. And let's not forget the apartheid that existed there until the 1960s - what a Great country Besides...

    whats your beef with brexit?

OK - here's a few: The freedom to live, work and retire anywhere you wish in the EU Job security. A report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research, found that 3.1 million British jobs depend on the UK’s exports to the EU Freedom to travel. Holidays abroad will become much more...

Absolutely not. What I'm saying is that Christianity and Judaism can be interpreted violently, not just Islam. So why single out Muslims rather than the other Abrahamic faiths?

    whats your beef with brexit?

I got my tax return this week which showed where my taxes were spent. The smallest contribution (less than 1%) went towards our EU membership, which brings us many benefits. Almost twice as much went on overseas aid, More than twice as much went on street light and such - and they're turned off...
