Breaking my own rule here but I thought it was the best place to post. You guys tie yourself up in knots trying to be "objective" and "supporting everything you say". It comes across as constipated and defensive and utterly boring. Think about it. Do you really want be like that for the rest of...

    religions and hate?

do they? how simplistic. the main source of hatred in the world comes from Satan. And Satan can enter anyone. Religious or not. Satan is all about pride and he'll convince you that real happiness can be achieved through your own efforts. Satan is also all about fear.

But I'll say again: Let's not change the definition of marriage. . That is what you guys want to do and I disagree. There is no need to argue further. You come from a different paradigm to me. A vastly different one. a scary one if I am to be honest.

Aussies to vote soon on whether to make gay marriage legal

I'm the one being slandered here. I say thank God there are people like me who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in. Who will suffer the slings of outrageous misfortune. Who will stand alone in this Godless world and fight for the right to ......(sorry guess I'm getting carried...

    The Servants in Isaiah

Its funny I spent a lot of time on a Christian forum where there was overquoting of the Bible. here I'm actually glad someone is quoting it. Thanks.

It may be of interest for you to know that I play a more liberal role on Christian forums. There is way too much fundamentalism going on there and taking the Bible literally. I think I can laugh at myself. I mean look at my avatar for goodness sake. Moses looks like Santa Claus! But atheists...

Your tone is reflective of a lot of people here who think "I" have to defend everything I say. Why? because I'm a newbie? gotta go to work bye

But remember I'm not standing on a soapbox here trying to persuade you to change your vote. Vote whichever way. I'm just telling you why I will vote "No'. And that annoys many of you because maybe you fear there are many who think like me and the "No" vote will win. Or maybe you'd like to think...

thank God for tangents is all I can say. its like a breath of fresh air! Some control freaks want you to stay on topic. Then the thread becomes claustrophobic in my view.

I am a Christian and that is central to how I perceive the world secular or not.You are asking me to look through the lens of a non-Christian and I refuse to do that.

    Castration

Many would say that homosexuality is not normal behaviour. Should they seek treatment as well?

I've never pondered that one. I think the Catholic church is too severe on divorcees. (apparently some don't get served communion while divorced)But I understand someone has to take the absolute stance. Otherwise we descend into chaos.
