    Abiogenesis

My favorite offer of evidence for abiogenesis: The theory of abiogenesis was proposed by Thomas Henry Huxley. The theory of abiogenesis states that the evolution of living forms from non-living matter is spontaneous. Example: Meat left open generates flies and maggots. This shows spontaneous...

    Existentialist

I see you. You see me. We must be one. I see the universe. You see the universe. We must be one. I'm pretty sure I didn't create the universe. Guess I'm not an existentialist.

    Where Does the Evidence Lead?

This is a kind of interesting presentation by a bunch of scientists about Intelligent Design. Thought someone else might be interested. It's a DVD, but I found it here on YouTube.

    Euclid

Do you suppose Euclid will answer any questions, or just create more?

    Jesus and Sins

I’ve always had a problem with: “Jesus died for our sins.” Phrased that way it could be a bit misleading. I suppose the basic sin is believing that our father is in the earth rather than in heaven. All the other so-called ‘sins’ seem to stem from that one. Proving our father is in heaven and...

    Jesus Evidence ??

Just read an interesting article concerning the non-biblical evidence. Thought someone else might be interested.

    I and the father

There's a thread devoted to this in another forum, but it's got 17 pages. Whew, enough. My feeling is that we abide in a singularity. If that is the case then "I and the Father are one" would be literally true.

    Terrible Thought

I look at a lot of different opinions about life and life after death. Some of the more recent offerings assume life is all mental, the universe and my body then, being mental. The horrible thought: If my life and body is mental, when I die I might take this body with me!!! Aghhhhh!!!!!

    Nothing

I put my intuit helmet on last evening and reached the conclusion that ‘nothing’ makes no sense at all.

    Milieux

Are we actually creatures of our milieux? Is it possible that our milieux matures as we do and reflects that maturity? Just a thought.

    Mustard Seed

Being an adherent to the ‘Mental Universe’ theory, I’m tussling with the subset of ideas surrounding the ‘mustard seed’ concept. I imagine, as the power resides with the father, then faith is the prayer of the children. I’m dabbling in the realm of faith without constructs, but not faring too...

    The Father

I love that first chunk of the lord's prayer. Tells us how it is. "Our Father who art in Heaven..." So cool. The source of our life is in heaven, a mental place. Hey Hey, we and the universe are mental! Makes a lot of things fall into place. Scientists are starting to get there too. Like...

    Simultaneity

Uhmm... Is this 'bean dip'? While I have my own hunches about time, I've heard this explanation before, but could never quite follow it. (Pardon the animation)

    Imagine This

Just thinkin’ If imagination became reality, being able to control imagination could be heaven. Not being able to control it could be hell. Just having some interesting thoughts about possible ‘afterlife’ and the possible preparations for it. Inhabiting a realm with safety nets seems like...

Still problems, but an interesting article .

    Pardon Me

I don’t think George Burns is God. (I certainly hope not.) I don’t think God is anything like George Burns (Well maybe a little) One of the problems I have with God discussions on religious forums turns out to be the number of people who do believe in a George Burns incarnation. Charlton...

    Old

On the local news tonight there was a human interest spot where a father put a sign on his newborn baby “Mommy will you marry daddy?” I feel so old.

    Question

OK, I know what is meant (I think) when someone mentions 'frube'. But, where did that word originate? Does it have another meaning? And... what in the world is the correct spelling? It seems the variations are limitless.

    Horror

I don’t understand our fascination with horror. We actually create depictions of horrible events designed as entertainment. Why are we drawn to the grotesque? Obviously, we are, as this fare sells quite well. I definitely don’t wish to partake. I’m trying to remember if I did when I was...
