If Christ did not arise from the dead, then no one has any hope. He died for our sins, was buried and then He resurrected. It is because of this I am looking forward to that blessed hope - when my sweet Lord will come again, to take me, and all those who call Him Savior and Lord, home.

I realized a while back that there is a lot of confusion about how to be saved, so I wrote an article about it. You can read it at http://www.steveholder.com/acceptchrist.html

There is no end to the excuses people can come up with to deny Christ. We should carry the message of God's grace to these people when and where we can, but whether or not they accept God's grace is entirely between them and God.
A recent Scripps Howard survey found one in three Americans believe the federal government was complicit in the Sept. 11 terror attacks. Can you believe this? It shocked me that one third of all Americans actually believe this wild conspiracy theory. Read the entire article at...
The most important thing to a Christian should be the same as what is the most important thing to God. God's #1 priority has always been to glorify Himself, so we should seek to glorify Him above all else.

Anyone can use the Bible, and get 'something' out of it, but to truly understand it one must have the Holy Spirit inside him/her. We receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Non-Christians will never be able to make sense of God's Word. It is useless to try.
God...
I'm not sure who this was addressed to, but if I may respond...
A liberal Christian is someone who is a Christian and a Liberal, or in some cases it is used to describe a Christian who does not interpret the Bible the way a conservative Christian would. Often times Liberal Christians will not...
It is foolish to be critical of something just because you don't understand it. It sounds to me as if Clifford did not understand faith at all. I know God exists. I could say that I know God exists because He has revealed Himself to me in different ways, and that proves it for me, as it has for...
I believe Paul wrote all the books you mentioned. In your studies have you noticed that Paul had a different message than the other apostles? He taught salvation by grace, but the other apostles taught "Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins." This is because the other apostles were...
I went terribly wrong once. I came to a point in my life that I doubted God and my Christian faith. I started studying other spiritual paths, and eventually started practicing witchcraft.
After a while I came to the conclusion that I needed Christ in my life but I did not want to get back...
I do have hope. My hope is in Christ. I believe Christ died for our sins and was resurrected, and if we believe this we can accept Him as our Savior and Lord. Then we have the hope of Heaven. Isn't that a precious hope?
Avoid the NIV like the plague.
Why would you say such a thing? The NIV is an excellant translation. Not only is it my favorite, but the favorite of many Christians - including my pastor.
God bless.
Jesus definitely taught love, didn't He? There is no greater love. He is the creator of love, so naturally He could demonstrate it better than any other. His volunteering to come to earth as a human to die for our sins is a tremendous demonstration of that love. His being raised from the...
It is sad that many people don't really know enough about the Bible to speak about spiritual things without trying to quote scripture word for word just to impress people. I never was great on remembering where a scripture is found, but I do know the Bible better than most Christians. I'm not...
Even though we are in the last days (since the resurrection), the kingdom has not been put into place yet. First of all, the Christians will be raptured from earth, and then the tribulation will begin, and will last for seven years, and after the tribulation Christ will physically return to...
A Christian is someone who believes that Christ died on the cross for their sins and rose again, and has asked Christ to be their Savior and Lord. When we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord we then become part of the Body of Christ (Christian).
