Place of miracles in today's time.

How is Hasan al-Askari's son the guide of our time if he has not yet fully revealed himself to the masses? And I don't see how the du'a addresses my question on what Shi'a Ahadith say about ad-Dajjal/his magical or miraculous powers.

Place of miracles in today's time.

Thank you for that. But that doesn't exactly answer my questions.

Place of miracles in today's time.

Well, perhaps he has revealed himself to a few people already and has performed miracles before them, if he is indeed the Mahdi?

Place of miracles in today's time.

I'll admit, I'm more familiar with Sunni Ahadith about ad-Dajjal's magical powers, but I thought there were also Shi'a Ahadith about his magical powers too?

    Still hidden?

Place of miracles in today's time.

I think, practically-speaking, this kind of magic as performed by ad-Dajjal will look a lot like a miracle and many will be deceived thereby. Many will look at his magic/'miracles' and think he is the Messiah as a result.

Place of miracles in today's time.

    And where is he today?

Place of miracles in today's time.

What's your definition of a 'miracle' then? What distinguishes it from the kind of magic that ad-Dajjal will perform?

Place of miracles in today's time.

What about ad-Dajjal (the anti-Christ)? Will he not also be able to perform miracles?

Who is this guide of the time?

The idea of hell is emotionally draining.

My comment was addressed to Truthseeker9.

A second contradiction in the Qur'an

Rather, first it would be better not to drink, and then you outright shouldn't. It proceeds thus in a step-wise fashion, to reform the society gradually. No contradiction here.

A second contradiction in the Qur'an

The drinking of alcoholic drinks was deeply ingrained in the society of the time. Allah therefore revealed the verses on the drinking of alcoholic drinks (and the consumption of intoxicants more widely) progressively, over time, in order to reform society in a step-wise fashion. 2:219 came...

Do you believe in the afterlife?

All dead relatives? What about those who have failed to believe in God or to recognise a Manifestation of God? Or those who have committed many heinous sins?

The idea of hell is emotionally draining.

What about all those spiritually-minded people who are not inclined to recognise Manifestations of God?

The idea of hell is emotionally draining.

Can you define the spirituality that wrongdoers often lack in your opinion?

How you know what is true Islam

So, just to be clear, you are willing to challenge (almost) all your scholars on doctrinal matters?

If Jesus returned to this world, how would you know it was Jesus?

Oh, I think so, absolutely! 'He asks: When will be this Day of Resurrection? So, when the sight shall be dazed. And the moon will be eclipsed. And the sun and moon will be joined together. On that Day, man will say: Where to flee? No! There is no refuge! Unto your Lord will be the...

If Jesus returned to this world, how would you know it was Jesus?

I prefer to interpret these verses as a warning that the Day of Resurrection may come very soon, so be prepared for it.

If Jesus returned to this world, how would you know it was Jesus?

A very minor point, but the verses you cite above are actually 75:37-40. As regards the last verse, I prefer the translation: 'Is not He Able to give life to the dead?' Of course, you can still interpret this spiritually. But at the start of this chapter, Allah says: 'Does man think that We...
