Me too
I live mostly off Kellogg's Krave cereal, I eat it with Almond milk out of a plastic jug
I sometimes have Nutella and bread and at other times Golden Syrup on microwave pancakes
And I occasionally get a delivery
Is this regime an unhealthy one?
Very likely!
Do I care?
No, not one bit.
Does his physical activity give him a boost to his mental health?
I remember runner's buzz from when I used to go jogging!
Also, I doubt the Clozapine would make him sleep more than 14 hours a day
I currently sleep either 12 or 13 max
I cannot imagine sleeping any more than 14 hours, that...
@ChristineM
The way I see it I can be fat and sluggish and not constantly tormented by mad thoughts.......
Or I can be slim and active but totally at the whim of mad thoughts
I'd rather be as fat and sluggish as I currently am than less fat and sluggish and even more insane!
You mean how it makes people fat and drowsy?
It most certainly does!
But there is an upside to that, it makes people much less psychotic - although for me it hasn't expelled the demon, but it has improved my thought-patterns so I don't pay it as much attention!
I'm on the mighty Clozapine
None of the others worked for me, they all did nothing and I've been on at least three or four others
They call Clozapine "the drug of last resort" for "treatment-resistant schizophrenia"
It hasn't eliminated my schizophrenia but it has made me much, much less...
Yes, it is pretty bleak!
But I'm resigned to it

I have actually been discharged from the community mental health team (which is a part of the local National Health Service) because my condition has been judged "chronic" as opposed to "acute" and...
Since 2004 I have had "paranoid schizophrenia" - that diagnosis alone puts you into a bad category of people, as far as society is concerned
That is not a label anyone wants!
As far as I am aware there are no positive stereotypes when it comes to schizophrenia - quite the reverse!

In the UK there was a 1980s children's TV show that taught children to be kind to society's rejects and that there is no shame to being a reject (should they ever become one!) and that there is nothing to fear from a person simply because they are a reject
As one of society's rejects I think it...
I go to a creative writing group, a church, and a soup kitchen and sometimes meet friends for a coffee
I also sometimes go to a church that takes place on Zoom
And I sometimes go to a gay social group, we meet in a pub every now and then
There may be a Dungeons and Dragons group starting up...
Speaking about the friends I have who I don't only know online.........
I have quite a few such friends
Most of which I don't see very much and some of which I haven't spoken to in a while
But there are some that I see quite regularly
When I'm not shutting myself inside my house for up to a...
The OP is astute, well-read and eloquent
But he does not come across as having much humility
But then perhaps that's just a part of his online persona?
