I intend to leave RF, so goodbye to all you kind-hearted folk of every persuasion who have engaged me in debate. Hopefully I didn't bore you guys too much by being obsessed with one topic, and my apologies if I ever offended you personally.
Fair winds & following seas.
The only misinformant in this conversation is you.
1. I never wrote in this thread that the Abrahamic religions "are responsible for all of the world's problems" as you claim. Instead, I stated "IMO ... [they] are the root causes of most of the world's troubles".
2. I also never wrote that...
Hopefully she was progressive enough to ensure that she was properly chaperoned by her father, brother, or husband, or she might be considered to be of "dubious moral standing".
Because Allah is a name that is not found in the Christian or Jewish scriptures?
"Ilah" is the Arabic term for "God", whereas "Allah" is a proper name specific to Islam.
I'm with @Revoltingest, I have no problem traveling at a speed less than the maximum speed limit (I don't go under any posted minimum limit), in order to save resources and optimize my gas mileage, and to time stoplights, etc. I'm well within the bounds of the law.

... or, different people thought up different angles to the "Jesus" story as a way to control and manipulate their respective followers. This argument seems the most logical to me.
First, I must ask, what type of Buddhism appeals to you the most? Early Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, Zen, Tibetan/Vajrayana Buddhism, or modern eclectic ("lite") Buddhism? Here is a post I previously wrote which summarized some of the major differences, from a broad perspective.
Meditation in early Buddhism is defined strictly as the achievement of jhana, which is singleness or concentration of mind on one subject.
Jhana can be achieved in any position by experienced practitioners.
IMO introverts tend to internalize their ideals regarding spirituality, and are drawn more towards religions and philosophies that lean more towards internal/mental development, e.g. ascetic Hinduism, Jainism, early Buddhism, mysticism, gnosticism, hermetics, meditation/yoga, Kabbalah, etc...
