Religious liberty law promotes fragmented society

What does the OP have to do with atheism? Further, no one is asking for support from the atheist side that I know of.

    Religion and fear of death

Okay my first thread! Well besides my intro! One of the things I really like about Epicurean philosophy is freedom from fear of death via Epicurus's understanding of the nature of life and death. It occurred to me that perhaps without afterlife concepts being introduced at a young age, fear...

    Does God need intercessors?

Everyone that believes in a god needs something as I see it. They use that belief to fulfill some need or fill a void.

Religious liberty law promotes fragmented society

I agree those kinds of disagreements will always exist, but hopefully we don't need discrimination laws over our differences.

Judaism, Christians and Islam Rejects Homosexuality

I have heard arguments for the New Testament not being quite so clear about homosexuality as people believe it is. Romans 1 has to be condemning something tied with idolatry because of the context set by earlier verses. It says because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie AND served the...

Judaism, Christians and Islam Rejects Homosexuality

I don't think all Jews and Christians interpret those passages of the Bible as necessarily being about homosexuality.

We Created God Corrupt, He Created Us Loving.

It seems to me that genetics have everything to do with ancestry and evolution. I ask the original poster again: what has god to do with genetics?

    Does God need intercessors?

Given the presupposed nature of a god, that he exists in another realm and so forth, I don't see how one could communicate with such a being at all except by some bridge like a mediator.

We Created God Corrupt, He Created Us Loving.

Hi! I'm just curious what evidence you have that leads you to believe god wired anything into our genes and so forth?

    Greetings

Good day all. Nice to be here. I found this forum on Google and it sounded fun. A little introduction. I consider myself a strong gnostic atheist with philosophical Epicureanism. I aspire to the ideal of Ataraxia- tranquility of mind, absence of suffering, freedom from fear of gods and death...
