What about "God is Spirit" don't you accept? Christians only (all variants)

I think the Bible pretty clearly states, both in Genesis and elsewhere, that sin/spiritual death entered the world on that day, but of course Adam and Eve did not die physical deaths until much later. I'm not sure if any verses indicate that physical death did not exist at all before this; if...

What about "God is Spirit" don't you accept? Christians only (all variants)

Obviously the death referred to when Adam and Eve left the garden was spiritual: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die. ~ Genesis 2:17 (NRSV) Adam and Eve obviously didn't die physically on that very day, so it...

What about "God is Spirit" don't you accept? Christians only (all variants)

I certainly agree that God is spirit, but I don't see how any Christian can seriously question this. I'm a bit confused as to your point, though. Have you actually encountered Christians who deny that God is spirit?

How many will go to Heaven?

I do believe that if you're a good person, it doesn't matter what you believe; God will reward you as you deserve. The reason I believe this is: For the Son of Man is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay every man for what He has done. ~ Matther 16:27...

What Does the World Think About God?

Jesus is God, and people did see Jesus when He was on this earth. Jesus also appears to people in visions and dreams; He did this to Saul/Paul on the road to Damascus and has also done so to many other people since. Since Jesus can and sometimes does appear to us, and since He is God...

How many will go to Heaven?

Some Catholics used to believe that unbaptized children go to hell; some probably still do, but I do not. The Church has never officially stated one way or the other, so I decide for myself that a loving and merciful God would never condemn a child for something that's not his/her fault. In...

    Purgatory

There are several passages in the Bible where people pray for the dead. Now, souls in hell obviously can't benefit from this, and souls in heaven obviously don't need it, so there must be something else. That's where we get purgatory. In a nutshell, that's where you go after death in order to...

How many will go to Heaven?

I think more people will go to heaven than hell, because throughout history most people have died in childhood; in some parts of the world this is still true. I believe that all who die in childhood (especially infancy) go to heaven by default, since they are too young to know right from wrong...

What Does the World Think About God?

We can see God. There are numerous scripture references where people saw God, and when Jesus was on this earth everyone could look at Him and see Him. Even today He can appear to us through visions or dreams, just as He did to Saul/Paul when he was on the way to Damascus.
