Things are good! Just busy. It is good when God “tries” you because He wants you to grow and become stronger. For some reason I couldn’t reply to your thread below. Have a good week! :)
I read through this last page Riders, and you’ve really been through a lot lately. Hope you’re doing better today and if you like murder mysteries, you should check out The Staircase on HBOMax if you have that streaming service.
Enjoy your weekend!
I have an app too for this - all different nature sounds but they’re like set on a loop so only the real thing gives me that perfect sound. But, the app is nice to fall asleep to sometimes.
I am feeling blessed, and grateful today. I'm finding that waking up earlier, I'm enjoying the quiet time in the mornings in prayer and that magical time right before the sun rises. I'm seeing a mist come off the lake in the mornings, something I wouldn't see waking later. Birds gathering...
I wrote this recently inspired by a rainstorm that passed through here.
The Rain
It falls softly
Trickles from tree limbs
Creating rainbow puddles
Soothing and gentle
With its quiet voice

Playful
Cooling the air
Wind howls
The sky goes dark
Something...
Tonight, I made a whole wheat pizza with broccoli and spinach on top. A little feta on top, as well. It was so good. I’m not very good at making dough so I’d be happy if someone can offer any brands of pre-made wheat dough.
I usually like Twizzlers or popcorn. I went to the movies for the first time since Covid over this past weekend and they were out of mostly everything due to supply chain issues.
I don’t see it as “aggressive” but it would be nice to vote in favor of a candidate as opposed to casting my vote against the other. I think the two party system is rather broken. :pensive:
Is it sad that I count the syllables first before reading the content of everyone’s haikus? :pensive:
The day is over
A starry sky is coming
I wait in wonder
It was too many meetings. I think partially due to working remote, there seems to be more meetings. I’m in marketing and I guess we need to “collaborate” but sheesh, it’s too much.
That’s great that you gave up soda!
I think this too - who was that very first bread maker? And how did they discover yeast was helpful for making dough rise?
I had a great morning, busy at work and a few meetings I could have done without. Hey let’s have a meeting about meetings! :fearscream:
I went for a nature walk at lunch...
