With all respect, we are quite imperfect at love. And justice is far trickier. I think that as imperfect humans, we need to focus as much as possible on keeping people safe and fed and cared for, and justice, while also a worthy goal, is secondary. I know - I see the connection between the...
Thank you for the thought-provoking opening post. I would agree that humanity's faith in God is ancient and seems to be a part of being human. Why am I here, What/Who created me? What is expected of me? These questions are part of our experience of life.
I don't think there is a need to...
Hi Quagmire!! Thank you for the greeting! I've missed your poetry. Hope all is well with you. The forums seems to be running smoothly and without drama. As a mother of teens now I certainly do not need more drama in my life. Actually, now that I think about it, the middle school years were...
I think I would be considered an panentheist, but my church affiliation is Christian. In Him we live and move and have our being. Probably the main theological idea I hold is: Love Wins. I guess I am a 1 Corinithians 13 Christian.

Thank you! Yes, I've made a few posts again and hope to continue to participate as time allows. Always enjoy your posts, Lewisnotmiller. Glad to hear you are well.
Thank you again. I think I should at least try to make it to 10K posts. You are almost there yourself!
I do miss the days of frubals and fubal comments. But, we must keep moving forward!
Thank you for the welcome, ChristineM. When my kids were little I started posting on forums as a way to have some contact with other people. It was quite addicting! Now I don't have nearly as much time, but it has been good to check in and say hello to people here.
Thank you for the welcome, Adrian. Nice to meet you! Yes, raising kids is pretty awesome. Hard to see them getting ready to leave home, but also so happy for them and proud.
