    A free for all?

To me it is simply a path to gaining the insight of the ancient belief systems from Ancient celtic to Xtianity. It is not am free for all as much as considered study of the reason, experience, intuition and knowledge of the ages. One may embroid a little to suit your own tastes but you get the...

What does this forum mean by libertarian?

I've changed my views and I'm now more tolerant of American style libertarianism. However I still don't think they should monopolise such a good word that goes back long before they took it up in the 60s, was invented by anarcho-communists and is still used by many others apart from...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

That is fine. A definition of socialism would be impossible if you through in social democrats let American liberals.

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

Most don't identify themselves as socialists actually. And the Nazis called themselves socialists but they weren't and North Korea calls itself democratic and is not. I was only refering to socialists, those people are a whole different tradition and certainly have little to do with...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

Huh? I'm extremely well versed in all kinds of decentralism and libertarianism, left and right and I don't see this at all. What is it exactly that you are refering too?

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

Yes by socialists I mean real socialists like Leninists and Anarcho-communists and Guild socialists. I don't mean liberals and social democrats, these people are not socialists, they are considered almost as bad as rightwingers by most socialists.(I consider many far worse than American style...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

It is not a unique definition even if it is not stated in this way. The normal way of stating it is that the workers should own the means of production, but this means nothing on its own and is only a means to bring about the situation where the workers get the full fruits of their labour. Of...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

I accept both these types. I doubt whether a party of libertarian leftist could exist on its own anyway without even getting the right involved. Wages and working conditions are particularly my concern, I'm not for reformism. I'd rather see an end to wage labour, perhaps if they were looking to...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

He was for mutualist property rights, which is to say for direct occupany and use property rights. You can own property as long as you reside or work in it yourself, I'd imagine the local community/common law would sort out the details. He was still a socialist, just like Proudhon and many...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

Not really, because this is non-socialists trying to tell socialists what they believe. Not an interal dispute among socialists. It would be like me(as a pagan.) saying christians all believe in sacrificing infidels, not a protestant saying catholics are not christian. If you follow that...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

Firstly not all socialists believe in collective ownership as I said, I don't, although I accept libertarian versions of collective ownership embarked on by the local community/common law. Look up Mutualists, the early Ricardian socialists or American Individualist anarchists. Although I...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

Nope. To actual socialists socialism means wanting the workers to control the full value of their labour ie for there to be no economic exploitation. Use your definition if you wish, but remember this is not the one used by socialists, and never has been, and you are wasting your time and...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

You do. Socialism means an end to economic exploitation ie workers get the full value of their wages.

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

We can certainly have a left-libertarian allieance. A combination of libertarian socialists and those left-leaning groups among American libertarianism such as Agorist, left-Rothbardians, Geolibertarians and anyone who is broadly for more indiviudal liberty, less hierarchy and authority, against...

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

This disagreements over the baiscs aren't too important. The main differences are in property rights, just suggest that we let the local community and common law take care of that within a self-ownership framework and then allow all non-invasive behaviour(ie a free market.) on top of that.

Can libertarian socialists and capitalist libertarians function as one party?

I would and do. They make better allies than many of the people we ally with like Leninists and liberals. And in reality there schemes, while often inadvertantly, are likely to bring us closer to our goal as capitalism relies on the state and weakening the state weakens capitalism.

Libertarian liberal, Third Way liberal, or collectivist liberal?

I don't mind capitalist bashing if you mean people who live off capital, but I can't stand Leninists and similar just like I have little time for New Dealers and similar. I don't subscribe to whole left-right thing and even the capitalist-socialist thing(if you hadn't realised.), I'd much...

Libertarian liberal, Third Way liberal, or collectivist liberal?

Classical liberalism is basically ancestor of most modern beliefs. Most socialism/communism, liberalism, libertarianism even some conservatism. But it is rather diverse, the American libertarians love to call themselves classical liberals but actually geolibertarian is far closer to the...

A Moral Dilemma For Pro-Choice Liberals?

This is my point exactly. We may believe it is wrong, but it is far from clear and we don't need the state to come and decide for us. If you have a problem with it try and persuade people not to have them, don't use force and aggression to force your private morality onto someone else.

A Moral Dilemma For Pro-Choice Liberals?

You are aware according to Jewish tradition the soul only enters the child at birth. Abortion at any stage is okat. And the anti-abortion part of christianity, particularly the life begins at conception part, is relatively new. Even the Catholic church only started picked this up in last half...
