Changed religion so many times, reluctant to label myself..

I would look into Ismailism, it is a branch of Shi'a Islam which believes in reincarnation if I'm not mistaken.

    Considering conversion.

I'm not sure about the origins of Satan, but I have read in scholarly sources that what we now see as the Abrahamic God came about in the scriptures less than 3000 years ago. I'd look into things like Karen Armstrong's History of God to try to found about the Abrahamic God.

Questioon by students of st augustine school of medical assistants

Religions are a way for people to contextualize some of their personal experiences, provide hope for an improved condition, and add in some kind of purpose which is legitimated through belief in some kind of supernatural entities, the belief in which cannot be supported by science or facts of...

    Meat and Mormonism

Yeah I thought that was quite touching as well, one of the few cases of a sequel being better than the original. Just watched Single's Ward today- not as serious but good I thought. I really had no idea there were so many LDS movies out there.

    Suppose You Saw God...

I'd ask why He's put so much opportunity for both the extremes of blind belief and nihilism in the hearts and minds of people.

    Meat and Mormonism

Alright thank you, on an unrelated note I watched both the God's Army movies last night and found them to be pretty insipiring, and good movies too.

    Meat and Mormonism

I was wondering what your thoughts were on the whole "Are Mormons Christian?" issue. I didn't start a thread on it because I thought it would attract a lot of Scripture-quoting, belief-baiting, and general arguing- seeing as how I'm not Shawn McCraney I decided to avoid that.

Which is better Mustard or Ketchup

Of the two mustard, but the condiment I use the most is hot sauce.

    What Do You Believe?

I just hold to values which I can say why I hold to them and cannot really be correct or incorrect (in terms of truth value), those values tend to line up closest with Protestant Christian values.

    Help me find a religion

I wouldn't put too much stock into what those quizzes say, I'm a non-denominational Protestant Christian but alot of religious quizzes I've taken say I should be Mormon. But given what you've said, I'd read up on groups like the Christadelphians and the Seventh Day Adventists who have views on...

Do you consider yourself a minority/majority?

I'm a heterosexual Protestant male from an upper middle class background getting a college education. I was born and raised in the Midwest, of medium build, and define myself as a moderate politically, and I enjoy watching sports and TV in my spare time... But the first thing people notice about...
