    Science has very convincingly explained how the universe came into being without having to introduce the god-idea. Buddhism, with its belief in life after death, clearly falls in the latter camp. This renders it, in my opinion, every bit as flawed as any God-based theology.

    In my opinon you need to take purposeful steps, like some offered in eastern religion, to eliminate this lack of "love". Especially in cases of greed, lust, anger, and jealousy. No magic cure is available including accepting jesus to be gods son and the savior of the earth.
