Being an atheist does not mean I condemn people who practice religion

Thank you for all your comments and responses. You are right, I will have to get used to people attacking my opinion and ideas. I always defend my position, and I do wish I had more time to spend on forums here. As a former Muslim, who is now an atheist I am sure I will certainly spend more time...

Thank you, I appreciate that! I'll keep that in mind when posting in the future.

Being an atheist does not mean I condemn people who practice religion

Geez, I come here and post something, and three quarters of what I get are attacks and insults, just because my beliefs and opinions don't align with yours and could be viewed as controversial. So it leaves me no choice but to fight back for myself.

Being an atheist does not mean I condemn people who practice religion

Iranian traditions are not Islamic, they are from ancient Persia, well before the concept of Islam even came to existence. The Persian traditions are Zoroastrian and actually kept to this very day even by Iranian Muslims

So you created your own religion, good for you. Got it ;)

Being an atheist does not mean I condemn people who practice religion

Actually, you're one single person so what you think really wouldn't matter, so no I don't wish it was like that, when in reality it already is like that as many MANY Muslims want atheists to be put to death. If you're a Muslim, read the damn religion, that's the Islamic law for apostatsy...

    Was Muhammad a good man?

I love it when Muslims try to defend Islam by bringing up the same disgusting acts in other cultures and religions. Two wrongs don't make a right, if your religion is binding forever then your God would've made the laws forever as well, they are not to be changed, that's the main thing about...

Being an atheist does not mean I condemn people who practice religion

Why is that? Because you think atheists should be put to death? Got it. ;)

    Was Muhammad a good man?

What are you talking about? It's very simple, Muhammad was a pedophile, and because of his disgusting action many and I say MANY child marriages have taken place in the Islamic world. Including Both of my grandparents who were not even teenagers yet when they were married off! That's reality...

Being an atheist does not mean I condemn people who practice religion

I am an atheist. I do not believe in the God described in the Bible, the Torah, or the Quran. In my opinion all religions are manmade to control and frighten people, or for other intentions which were not always meant to be bad. I am truly convinced that with more education and a full...

    Religiously Jewish, but Culturally Atheist?

Thank you so much for your answer, which, unlike Caladan, actually answered the question rather than insult me for making a legitimate inquiry!

Are Christians offended by the Bible?

If that's the case, then keep religion for its own time and setting and get on with the 21st century! And big deal about what Jesus did, the New Testament also said that women are not allowed to teach and should not talk in church. Keep religion where it belongs (ie. whichever damn century it...

That's a typo and if I knew how to edit the title I would

    Religiously Jewish, but Culturally Atheist?

Hate to break it to you but you're the one who started the "childish" name calling, I just asked a simple question, and answered whatever you asked or pointed out. You just don't like what I'm saying, that's the problem, so instead you continue to call me names. Very nice, thank you for NOT...

    Religiously Jewish, but Culturally Atheist?

Well that depends, for instance there are Ethiopian Jews and there are Russian Jews. If you looked at them would you say they are ethnically the same? Unless you're completely blind you can see that they look nothing alike. But if you look at two ethnic Chinese people, one being a Muslim and one...

    Religiously Jewish, but Culturally Atheist?

Almost every Israeli I've met hate Orthodox Jews, they say that they have too many children and don't server in the army, do nothing for the country and all they do is collect welfare and pray all the time. So calm down and stop spasing out at me! Secondly, you mentioned Native Americans, they...

Are Christians offended by the Bible?

It always shocks me when Christians claim that the New Testament does not approve of slavery! I would hope that people who claim to be Christian have at least read the bible! The new Testament DEFINITELY approves of slavery, does NOT speak against what an awful act it is, YET you want to ignore...

    Religiously Jewish, but Culturally Atheist?

I see your point but you still mentioned that Judaism is the native faith of a nation. That's my point, if it's the FAITH of a nation, that mean that the nation exists and only could be Jewish if religiously. However, many Jews not only scrutinize religion but actually HATE religious Jews. You...

Are Christians offended by the Bible?

To be fairly honest, I don't think any Christians clarified the approach taken by the person who made this video. If one was to believe they are Christian and follow this video makers path, could you say they are wrong or are not practicing Christianity properly? Who is the authority to say...

    Religiously Jewish, but Culturally Atheist?

I have a question that I would love someone to give a reasonable answer to. These days we hear about so many people caliming to be very proud of their Jewish heritage, and they consider themselves culturally Jewish, yet they are atheist, do not practice the Judaism in any way, and do not believe...
