You talking about this:
Only if it was really his teachings, but sadly, it's Pauls. Isa would have followed Mohammed if he was there when Mohammed was sent.
If so, I'm not sure how that remotely resolves my observation.
To be fair, Islam does the same exact thing when reading the Christian Scriptures. The Christian Scriptures mean whatever they say it means. So what's the difference?
Changing opinions is where it all starts. People don't innately look for places where they might be wrong. They'll stay republican/democrat and happy until someone points it out to them that others might just have a different opinion.
Francis Schaeffer described democracy as the tyranny of the 51%. In a pure democracy, whatever the majority says is right becomes the law for that moment in time. This hardly stops theocracy and a set of beliefs will always be dominant. Or are you strictly against it because it doesn't work...
Neither do I.

I don't advocate it either but it's difficult to compare one with the other when one is so new to humanity in general and hasn't been used that often.
The empire of King David comes to mind. People seemed pretty happy from the little reading I have done, taking an English class on the Bible, and talking to both Christians and Jews. It's hard to compare because if anything a secular society is but new in the West and the ones that existed in...
I'm not trying to be mean but aren't these type of threads getting old? I mean, hardly anyone ever contends you guys on these type of threads. After a while it becomes apparent that theophobia is just as rampant. As long as it is the right thing to do and it works for most people why fear it?
Evolution does all that? I think your confused. Evolution can answer 2 of those questions vaguely enough to mean nothing to you personally. The last question it can care less. Your comparison is a fallacious one.
