    Is Iran really that bad?

Iranian authorities raped prisoners So, does this mean that the government authorities who committed these rapes will be getting the death penalty?

    Is Iran really that bad?

Isn't it up to the individual to guard themselves against spiritual corruption? Isn't that between the individual and god? The government is not god. Government playing god does not protect against spiritual corruption, as government does not wield spiritual power--it only has mundane force...

    Is Iran really that bad?

Let me clarify: the government's energy and resources would be better channeled into going after actual crimes, rather than putting their energy into being clothing police. <edit to add: being clothing police is not protecting women. A woman is a woman whether she wears a headscarf or not.>

    Is Iran really that bad?

The government should be going after the rapists instead of going after women for not wearing headscarfs. Going after women for not wearing a headscarf is NOT protecting women. A woman is still a woman whether she is wearing a headscarf of not.

    Why does Ignorance exist ?

Then there would be no reason for creative innovation--something which is a hallmark of being human. Would you see omniscience as being conducive to evolution?

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

These conservatives should brush up on their exorcism skills and exorcise the spirit of hatred and delusion from those whose minds have been possessed and raptured away by it.

I was using the term from the post both of us quoted (#40.) Which term would you prefer? Rioters, insurrectionists, or something else?

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

Why would anyone relish such a thing, especially the people whom were targeted by the rioters? Isn't this just another attempt to shift the blame--this time to the victims?

    Is rock music "dead"?

Eh? 1992: R.E.M, The Pixies, Death Cab for Cutie are some examples.

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

The people whom you are referring to had absolutely nothing to do with what happened that January 6th, yet those who were actually involved in those events have been trying to blame the left for it from the get go. Talk about dishonest narrative here!

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

The transcript referenced in the OP doesn't even suggest this. Rather, it suggests on pages 76 & 77 of the transcript that Trump wanted the National Guard so he could go with the crowd from the Ellipse to the Capitol building. I referenced this in post #16 earlier. As for being disingenuous...

After reading the transcript, I find it curious that security was being told to anticipate violence from counter-protesters (which never materialized,) and the maga-folk instantly wanted to blame the violence on BLM. Indeed, curiouser and curiouser.

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

It's not in the transcript referenced in the OP. Pelosi's name is not there, and it references Speaker of the House only once in the document as being the second in line of succession on page 121.

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

If you read the document, Trump really wanted to go with the crowd from the Ellipse to the Capitol Building. Basically, a President only takes the trip between the Capitol and the White House only on Inauguration Day, and it requires a whole lot of security and advance planning. That's what he...

President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down.

I'm surprised this was released to public. On page 6 of the transcript it was stated that this information should not be released to the public per the Secret Service and Homeland Security, as it goes into great detail as to the numbers of Secret Security agents and their strategies for...
