There is a large Catholic minority in the US though, and they're one of the largest churchgoing denominations here in the UK. I think the issue is that many of them tend to stick to Catholic fora. In my attempt to find a forum where Catholics and Protestants get along in oecumenical dialogue, I...
This whole thread seems to be a pile-on RCs.
I didn't realise so many hated them for generally just being Catholics. It's absurd.
Where are all the pro-Catholics, exactly?
RF is a liberal hive and that means it tends to pile on conservative Catholics. It's saddening.
Honestly lol. You need to come to Europe. No-one gives a flying **** what the Vatican has to say. I have no clue where you guys are taking this garbage from.
Obviously the Vatican believes what is has is universal truth, that's the whole point of the religion. They have no means or concept of...
Read all about it! Roman Catholic Church upholds Roman Catholic teachings! Read all about it! Non Catholics upset the Church isn't as liberal as they are! Somehow believe a conspiracy that the RCC controls global policy! Get it here!
I'm not lucky; I took charge of my own life with the help of both medication and lifestyle changes, changing my outlook and environment.
Everyone is capable of this if he has reason.
As I've said before: this doesn't matter.
She is living her life. She is progressing. She is fine.
For **** sake, almost everyone in history had it harder than her, poor thing.
We are discussing the OP; she has 3 conditions that many people live with. They can be managed effectively if one is willing to try. She can take steps to mitigate that suffering instead of her seeming to wallow in it. She's not exactly suffering shell shock and facing the trauma of watching all...
My goodness you folks make out like the conditions she has are somehow like the mental illness version of childbirth.
There are many more people who live with these conditions and are able to live normal lives if given the right kind of help.
I just wonder when someone with a spouse, a home, a pet, a job and her health thinks death would be better.
This makes absolutely no sense.
She has the will and reasoning skills to deal with her metal issues and imo is choosing not to.
Folks here keep saying this as though it matters.
She's up and running, she has a boyfriend, she has a home, pets, her health and presumably a job.
I strongly suspect she's not suffering all that much given she seems to be able to run her life well enough.
If someone in his late 20s believes he has no more chance at a fulfilling life, I think that person has incredibly poor reflection skills or is expecting things to be better immediately. She seems to want to quit before 30, when she's barely even lived, so I think she needs to do a whole lot...
Do levels matter? If we both had the same illness we would rate our suffering differently given we are different people.
She can change her outlook as many formerly suicidal people have, but she lives in a society that tells her happiness is the ultimate goal, and no-one can reach that. If you...
