I like the borg interpretation, although I imagine less evil in reality.
My personal view is assuming gods words created the bibles content that he meant for us to create heaven on earth, not the afterlife part.
A lot of animals do it, hell my guinea pigs have done it and ive had two groups of two and they both ended up doing it.
Im sure ive heard about penguins and dogs doing it too.
I struggle with a few christian beliefs.
If god says loves the most important thing there is and that he created humans to be what they are he gave them the possibility of homosexual feelings.
Surely its for god to judge them not other men?
I didn't realise the comments of new people was also a conversation for a religious discussion area either, seems like an odd place to put it really unless you want the person you are talking about to see it.
Think about it from my view
I do some googling, find this forum and sign up

im referring to the Op... the guy who made this thread after I made the paradox one.
The op made posts that added nothing to the discussion, with like 5 word answers. after a few random comments that implied he didnt like the topic he told me to go read without any sourcing and then made this...
If god creates a rock that he cant move or change, then changes it so he can it leaves you with a rock that god can lift which makes the first creation wrong?
its more an argument of if god can make everything can he make things that are above him?
if it wasnt it seems like an odd thing to promise :P
you will spend all eternity as my god slave working for me forever doesn't sound like much fun otherwise
I have to ask, why do you veterans assume i didn't search before posting?
I don't care enough to argue with staff members when they seem to change infact im disgusted with his god complex, just because someone has a different belief doesn't make them wrong and you right, and doesn't give you...
After the abuse from that veteran forum user I was worried about making this thread, thanks for everyone else for not insulting me for wanting to discuss this topic :)
IF heaven isnt perfectly what you want, or a state of happiness why would you want to go there?
Is it a choice of heaven OR...
I thought it was an interesting paradox to share, this seems to be a more complicated debate then I expected :P
Such a paradox seems to also make me think about the devil
if the devil is evil and god wants him gone but cant, would that imply both are as strong as each other? or lack the power...
You see Ive only ever really witnessed the Christian faith first hand, and since reading religious texts is often interpreted differently I prefer to have someone else explain there view and why.
since we have so many religions its impossible for me to understand all of them without some bias...
I didnt think of it like that, so god isnt omnipotent if free will exists in a way?
this means god is the thing that created us but he isnt so powerful that he controls or he doesn't want to right?
like If a man genetically creates an animal and frees it is that the same idea?
because thats what it was always taught as to me?
as I said in my post, explain heaven to me properly based off the views of different religions.
I like the pigs story, although i read it as the pigs didnt have blind faith and wanted to make sure they knew what they were agreeing too :P
This is one of the parts I never understood very well.
heaven is a paradise where everyone is happy for eternity right?
If my heaven is living next to a beach with Jessica Alba, while Jessica Albas heaven is living somewhere else with her husband and children then wouldn't heaven be...
