In light of the following:
Is it a sin to prohibit another person from using one of the seed-yielding plants such as cannabis? It seems to contradict God's agreement with his people that all seed bearing plants are given by God for humans to use.
I have always thought that the answer to this is 'no', Buddhism does not prohibit drugs with the sole exception of alcoholic drinks that "cause heedlessness" (this is what it clearly says in the ancient scriptures, specifically and unambiguously).
