Many religions view gods as people, people that you can talk to, receive messages from, and have a relationship with. To someone who views gods like that, you can't really substitute the universe and expect them to be happy. Some of them just want an authority figure to tell them how to behave...
It depends where you shop. I think the prices in southeast Asia are very reasonable. Of course, getting there can be expensive if you live in Europe or North America.
You seem to be confusing my personal reasons for not wanting to see it with a movie review or social commentary. I just don't like this kind of movie. I don't like any superhero movies either.
I have two problems with the plot:
(1) Lincoln only opposes slavery to fight vampires. It trivializes the issue.
(2) Vampires can't exist unless they can legally buy slaves. Really??
I'm not going to see it, but I don't like this type of movie anyway. Supernatural stuff makes everything too...

The God Delusion is a middling book on atheism. I've read plenty of others that were much better, but it wasn't bad. It's famous mostly because of the author, not because of the content.
