Did the NT authors know that they were writing scripture?

It appears that the NT authors did not know they were writing scripture. If they were not writing scripture, what were they writing? Opinions?

    Gnostic Beliefs

Gnostics seek knowlege about the truth. Most other religions believe that the truth is what others tell them it is. When your mind becomes closed, and you stop searching for the truth, then you have lost your ability to find it. Gnostism has been the worlds most persecuted religion, simply...

Did the NT authors know that they were writing scripture?

None of the NT authors knew they were writing scripture. Jesus never wrote anything. None of the books of the NT have ever been matched with an author undisputedly. Paul is supposed to be the largest contributor to the NT. Jesus never knew Paul existed. None of the gospels mention or even hint...

Did the NT authors know that they were writing scripture?

You answered one part of a multipart question. Next to scripture becomes scripture. Where in the Gospels does Jesus proclaim the Apostolic qualities of Paul. Who among the Apostles refers to Paul as an Apostle, besides Paul and Luke? If Jesus and Paul lived during the same time, why didn't Jesus...

    Christians and Cleavage

Men have cleavage too. Is it as controversial as womens cleavage? If you showed 10 pics of cleavage to ordinary people, most of them could not tell the men from the women. Dare anybody to take the challange.

I find it hard to believe that there is a Mrs. Rev, but I have an accomplice too. She is not very proud of it.

Theists: Why does God ignore me?

Perhaps God ignores you because, he/she finds no reason not to.

Did the NT authors know that they were writing scripture?

"Paul's writings were next to scripture". Lets say that I want to read writings that ARE scripture and not "NEXT TO IT". Any suggestions? Paul was not an Apostle. Where in the Gospels is there any mention of Paul being an Apostle?

    Gnostic Beliefs

One thing about gnostics is that they are continually trying to aquire knowledge from any source they find that is relevant to their beliefs. Most, if not all other religions are "closed", in that they are inflexible when new knowledge is discovered, that has been hidden or lost. "Religions"...

There was a coup d'etat in the Catholic Church in 1959 the Pope is not the Pope!

I follow no religion invented by man. I do not exaggerate, misconstrue, or falsify history in order to demonize the Catholic Church. If your church has been hijacked, it is still no worse off than it ever was, and it may actually be improved. Ask some of these people: Manichaeans Albigensians...

There was a coup d'etat in the Catholic Church in 1959 the Pope is not the Pope!

The teachings of Jesus spawned many eggs. Christianity was only one of them. I have nothing against Catholics, only I could never belong to a church with such an sordid past. It's one thing to make mistakes, commit crimes against man and God, but it is another matter to cover them up, hide them...

Why Does God Allow So Much Suffering

God doesn't have a choice, he can't prevent it. In the world that we live in, where has God ever intervened to prevent suffering? A specific event would be appreciated. An event where God intervened to prevent suffering would be a uplifting event to everyone who believes in God.

How do you know your interpretation of the Bible is correct?

Learn to read Greek,Coptic, or Aramaic, and translate it yourself, then you can not have any doubts. The English translation of the Aramaic Gospel Of John is different to say the least.

There was a coup d'etat in the Catholic Church in 1959 the Pope is not the Pope!

You mean your Catholic, and of all the atrocities committed by the Catholic Church, this is the one you complain about? Your church was hijacked alright, but it was done by a dude named Paul around 2000 years ago, but it may take another 2000 years before you can figure it out. That is at the...

Did the NT authors know that they were writing scripture?

I believe you are right in all cases except the Gospel Of John. It was written much later, is different in tone and style, and is similar to some of the gnostic texts. I think it's writer was hoping it would become scripture when it was written.

Is there anything God can not do?

Absolutely. And he, or she, can not do anything else either. If God could, he, or she, would.
