    Atheists: why the Christians?

Holy crap people have still been posting on this how does that work omg But I don't think there are stupid religions, only stupid PEOPLE who might choose to follow them. Protesting gay marriage or pushing creationism isn't Christianity's fault, it's instead the fault of middle-aged Republican...

    Deeply Disturbing Article

It really makes me wish people could just "spread the gospel" by living a good life and setting a good example. Of all the conversion stories I've heard, I can't recall any that came about from reading a pamphlet or being yelled at. And anything that isn't Jesus is obviously the devil's plot to...

    Atheists: why the Christians?

This is understandable and you make an excellent point. :)

    Deeply Disturbing Article

I think that site, in general, focuses on getting a rise out of people. That guy who wrote that response also did one on how men were smarter than women. The world is not black and white, that is the problem.

There is a line between tolerance and the law. If you burnt down any kind of building you would most likely be punished for it. In addition, a part of tolerance is loving one another, no? Love the sinner, not the arson. Reminds me of how my grandma told us, just the other day, that the Buddha...

    Atheists: why the Christians?

I hear tell that there are a lot of asians out there, so maybe the numbers for Buddhism will rise in the next few decades. Watch out! ;D Edit: Actually, I looked it up and the numbers for Islam are pretty high, but still not passing Christianity. 2.1 billion compared to 1.5 billion, approximately.

    Deeply Disturbing Article

I'm sorry if you feel encroached upon, but it is a fact that a major part of the Christian religion is to spread the Jesus-love. Some people feel like this is a commandment to be aggressively selling their faith, though I believe it's best to live as an example of a good person. Though, flowery...

    Atheists: why the Christians?

Yes, the Christian background of many Western societies would have to play a part in this. I kind of wish they would broaden their horizons and include other religions, though. It would certainly make debate much more interesting! :P

    Deeply Disturbing Article

Isn't that what we should all strive for, though? To respect eachother's beliefs and at least try to get along? Free speech is a part of the constitutions of many countries these days.

    Atheists: why the Christians?

I can understand the reasoning for not believing in any sort of deity. However, it seems to me that most of the time atheists focus only on how wrong Christianity is, forgoing other religions. It isn't often that you see atheists saying how ridiculous Buddhism or Sikhism or Hinduism or whatever...

Evolution working between both genders of a species?

I guess that makes sense, considering how long it takes evolution to make a visual diference. Thank you for your time, sir or madam. :D

Evolution working between both genders of a species?

My perspective of evolution barely transcends what I learned in freshman Bio, so enlighten me, please: if evolution starts with individuals that develop certain survivability traits that they pass to their offspring, how do both genders evolve at the same rate and still remain genetically...

    Why?

God is my friend. God is everyone's friend. As such, we can all have relationships with God, and relationships are not defined by rewards. I've found that I've been a lot happier since becoming a Christian, and I wouldn't trade that for anything. :)

What the Bible really says about sex

You'd think that a belief such as this, that has been upheld for thousands of years, would have some basis in truth? :/
