    Unitarian Universalism Questions

If you check the UUA website, you might be able to locate a closer church/fellowship. If not, you can always try the Church of the Larger Fellowship, which is an online church, and it's for people who are too far away from a UU congregation. Church of the Larger Fellowship

    Why the HERO got Divorced!

Furiously sleep ideas green colorless. I can make nonsense too.

    Why the HERO got Divorced!

None of this makes any sense whatsoever.

    I love my congregation.

Maybe, but Lilith's big F off to Adam and refusing to be anything less than his equal is what I'm giving homage to.

Seeing as how this is in icanhazcheeseburger speak, I would assume you're being sarcastic.:p

    Hi there!

We're at Camp Pendleton. I would rather drive off a cliff than live in 29 Palms. I have no problem talking any branch. I'm married to a Marine, a brother in the Army, and another is a Navy Seal. I appreciate that, about having it all together. I try to, anyway. ;)

Do you really think you are helping anyone?

Actually, yes you are guaranteed freedom FROM religion. The first Amendment guarantees both freedom of and from religion, by stating that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". Amen. I really enjoyed the story about the...

    Patriotism

For me, patriotism and worship are two different concepts. My husband is a Marine (and not a Christian, for those who think that the two go hand in hand), and yes, we're patriotic, but realistic. Our country is completely jacked, and the military does especially stupid things, but we still...

Does proselyzing hurt or harm people?

For some reason, no one come to my door anymore. After one Saturday when my husband was in the garage working on his truck, a young woman walked into the garage without invitation and said "can I leave something with you?" to my husband. He promptly replied "no" and went about his business. She...

    I love my congregation.

Suppose it depends on which Lilith myth you are going with. As far as my screenname, I picked it going with the story of Lilith as the first wife of Adam.

    I love my congregation.

I am so happy to hear that you had a great experience at your fellowship! I know that a lot of people who attend services at UUs, have an issue with the church/congregational setting, because of previous bad experiences with other religions. I have to say, that I adore my fellowship, for a lot...

Does proselyzing hurt or harm people?

I wish that I could say that it depends on the place that the p-tizing comes from. In all reality, it doesn't. no matter who it is, or why they are doing it, I'm always offended. I've had my own brother-in-law call my UU fellowship a "crazy cult" in his attempt to "save my soul because he loves...

    Is masturbation wrong?

Without even reading the entire thread, I have no issue with masturbation. I don't see a problem with it at all.

It wasn't really a serious question.

The moderate Christian, the moderate Hindu and the moderate Muslim

Whhhhat?! "Muslims are the ones murdering in the name of their god"?! And you're really not going to mention the hundreds of years that Christians have spent murdering people in the name of theirs? Salem Witch Trials, where at least 30 innocentpeople were killed in the name of god...

    Judgment Day May 21st 2011

I'm sure everyone at your church will see you on Sunday. Then, once that happens, will there be another day of rapture you will be counting down until? Because from where I sit, all of these "judgment days" and "days of rapture" that people have been waiting for have. never. happened. The end.

    Judgment Day May 21st 2011

Are you a Fan or a Follower of Jesus?

I'm not a Christian, but I'm a fan of Jesus the man. Not a fan of Christianity, and not a follower of Jesus.

I want to believe in God -- but I can't.

"Question with boldness even the very existence of God. For, if there be a God, He must surely prefer honest questioning over blindfolded fear.” Thomas Jefferson
