It's offical. Trump and Biden will be the presidential nominees.

Fortunately, they're not the only choices we have (see post #39). What this situation will reveal is how willing people are to break out of the same-o same-o. It almost seems like a test to see if people really want things to change. -

It's offical. Trump and Biden will be the presidential nominees.

That's why a little refresher-course can help from time to time: I vote for who I want to vote for, not for who I'm pressured to vote for. Otherwise, what's the point? Not everyone is under the hypnotic spell of Democrat-or-Republican. We are where we are because people settled for "the...

    Things You Love About Hinduism

The aspect of God as spouse/lover. When I first learned of it and then experienced it (back in 2011), I felt like I had found the missing piece. My spirituality has since moved on; in 2018, I got more than I bargained for in my search for a unique name for the path I was on (which, by that...

    Things You Love About Hinduism

Lord Krishna. He represents an aspect of God that my Christian background didn't really delve into.

Is the Forum Slower than Usual for You Today?

It was slow for me the last couple of days, but now it's good!

    I'm Voting Libertarian This Year

When reading through the thread, this gem I came across awhile back comes to mind:

    I'm Voting Libertarian This Year

Not as long as people continue to be hypnotized by the Democrat-or-Republican pendulum perpetually swinging before their seemingly sleepy eyes.

    Fits Too Well

Yes. Just yesterday as a matter of fact. I was creating some digital art that included a wolf, and, while doing so, Spotify started playing "The Wolf" by SIAMÉS.

    Autumn or Fall?

I voted both Autumn and Fall, as I use both. However, "Darkness Rising" sounds pretty awesome, too! In the future I might exchange my usual "Happy Fall/Autumn" greeting for "And so begins the Season of Darkness Rising." Along with Spring, it's a favorite season of mine.

    New Journal Location

Since the profiles on XenForo platforms such as this one are more "Facebook-esque" (and that is probably intentional, to give forums more of a social-network feel), I plan on posting any journal-type updates on my profile going forward. I noticed that most of the links in my older posts here...

    This Person's Blog

And it has now been 3 more years (and then some) since I posted the above . Most of the links in my previous journal-posts here don't even work anymore. I'd love to be able to just update/delete the entries whenever, but that's not an option, unfortunately (at least, not after a certain period...

    This years flu strain

Same here. I can't remember the last time I had a flu shot, or the flu. The last flu-like illness I had might've been Omicron, in hindsight. It was very similar (though not nearly as severe) to something I had back in '87.

What will you do if Trump wins 2024

I was thinking about this one. Fill the churches with people who absolutely do not want to be there. What could go wrong? Egads!:)

Today's youth... What is the problem?

I was off yesterday so will be playing a bit of catch-up today at work, but, I will try to remember to ask someone if our store's training program goes over how to make change. I'm curious, now, lol! And yes, my store is one of the bigger ones so things are more impersonal, I think. And the...

Today's youth... What is the problem?

I never underwent any orientation, so I don’t know if that was part of the training. But then again, I had started the job when I was in my mid-40s (almost two decades of being a stay-at-home mom made returning to the office-type of job I was accustomed to a bit harder to accomplish), so I guess...

Today's youth... What is the problem?

Doesn't Taco Bell have registers that figure all that out for them? After all, the point isn't to flaunt one's math-skills, it's to keep the line moving as efficiently and quickly as possible, saving the brainiac stuff for the Math Olympics or some such. I say this as someone who has also run...
