    Baha'i Rasta

Freemasons do indeed make it necessary to believe in a higher power, since they are very strict on morales and such. However, there are even agnostic and Buddhist Masons. What interpretation of a 'higher power' a person has is left to himself. It's only strict atheists who are not admitted into...

    Baha'i Rasta

Yeah, the Baha'i faith makes it clear that there will be no messenger after Baha'u'llah for 1,000 years. Use of cannabis apart from medical purposes is prohibited for Baha'is. Also, regarding Freemasonry - Masons are from many different religious backgrounds, and even agnostic backgrounds...

A Believer Trying to Become a Follower

If it still makes you feel a bit uneasy about joining the main armed forces, even having a status of non-combatant, you can always join paramilitary units such as the coast guard. The Baha'i writings have made it clear that in the future, the role of the armed forces will mainly be targeted...

    I don't believe in god....

Yeah, it's a good book. It doesn't teach anything about Astral Projection, although Tolle claims that when you're able to lucid dream on a daily basis, it's halfway to enlightenment. He claims that dreamless sleep is the ultimate stage. Basically, Tolle teaches that when you control thoughts...

    I don't believe in god....

Relax, don't worry too much about it. The answers you seek always come, provided you have confidence in them.

    I don't believe in god....

Well... lucid dreaming is not easy, although astral projections are.

    I don't believe in god....

Yeah, I have ADD (not ADHD). I understand very well. I had to rely on a self-help book to get me out of it. The power of now - Echart Tolle. Highly recommended. :) My concentration went up to such a level that I was able to perform astral projections and have one lucid dream.

    My son has joined islam

Taliban's ideology is officially Deobandi mixed with traditional Pashtunwali (the code of ethnic Pashtuns - bit like a mix between a Knight's chivalry and Japanese bushido). They also have strict interpretations of Shari'a, but not necessarily Wahaabi. The Taliban accepted some features...

    My son has joined islam

This might surprise you, but most Wahaabis are actually very peaceful individuals. They're just a little fanatic when it comes to theological disputes, such as saint veneration. My great-grandfather was a well known Wahaabi scholar. XD Al-Qaeda has only 1,500 members from all across the...

    My son has joined islam

She's not from a very orthodox family, I can assure you. There's no scope for fanaticism from her side. The reason is quite simple - conservative Islamic ruling is that dating is simply not allowed. If the couple wish to know each other, it is necessary that a male family member (such as father...

    Pork

Watch this documentary on the American industrial food system. The documentary is called "Food Inc". You'll never want to touch Smithfield pork (or any other packaged meat, such as Tysons) ever again. I'm so glad that I know where my food comes from. Nothing beats local, organic fiber-rich...

Report: Baha'is sentenced for twenty years..

The sentence is quite harsh, glad they didn't get the death penalty. Do they have a right to parole?

"I saw the Kaba walking round me". the unorthodoxy of the Intoxicated Sufis

Yeah, it's just the pantheism i don't agree with. I don't think so. Too much orthodoxy creates bigotry, too much mysticism creates aloofness. The path of moderation is the best. Point taken.
