They STILL haven't accepted you!? I remember private messaging you last year about it! As far as the people there...you do have to be apart of the select few that agree with them or you will be swiftly targeted and most likely banned.
I suppose that is something I should've thought about already  (yes that facepalm was directed towards myself). It seems that they can pay anyone to be a conservative on television sadly...
They give a bad name to other atheists...we do not need to gather in the name of atheism. Perhaps gathering in the name of a certain political issue would be fine--let's say separation of church and state--but not in the name of atheism which is simply a lack of belief in a deity. On...

There was a link to this at the bottom of that page. Still funny x).

I really feel a need to go to xeper.org now, it's capturing my curiosity. Really? Ah well I shouldn't be so surprised, you have to be like them or they get ticked*...
I don't buy the whole "atheists are a group" BS. Atheism is a view on a small issue, the lack of a belief in a deity. Just because one lacks this belief does not make them have other identical views. I don't view atheism to be a religion, group, or club; just a lack of belief in a deity...
I am curious to what extent does Setianism go?
@Mike: Go back to The 600 Club--you'll get plenty of responses from numerous Satanists...but just a warning; it won't be as civil as this forum though...and you may get banned. They aren't very tolerant there either...but they do offer some damn...
Please elaborate on these "atheistic principles" of which you speak, I would love to hear them. Just because one is an atheist does not mean that his political ideologies are identical to all other atheists. Atheists don't have one particular political ideology if you haven't noticed...
I'm becoming open with my atheistic views tomorrow and I was just wondering...how would you feel if one of your children told you that they are atheist? How would you best like them to present it (obviously, you won't like them presenting that at all, but how would you prefer they present...
A very short writing that I wrote months ago.
Religion; as defined by Webster's New World Dictionary is: "Belief in a superhuman power or powers to be obeyed and worshiped as the creator(s) and ruler(s) of the universe." To me, religion is like chains, it limits what you "should" do; these...
All that this thread was made for is to address that hate in itself is not something "evil" or whatever. Your outlets are your choice; as I choose ritual. This thread could also be applied to any of the other 7 deadly sins; they all lead to emotional, mental, or physical gratification.
These people that you would hate would most likely have ticked you off. Why forgive them then? How are they benefitting your life? I'm not saying to take it out on others, I'm talking about feeling hate; its regarded as an iniquity to feel hate. Outlets for your hate can be whatever you choose.
So your saying that even though its natural, that doesn't make it right. Where have you devolped your sense of right and wrong? Because hatred actually seems very healthy. Why would you leave all of your hate to build up within yourself? That makes for a very stressful state.
