The economy tanked so hard that we never recovered pre 1981 employment levels, wages stagnated, and an entire generation had their lives ruined because they weren't able to get careers started.
What future? A future where a college graduate has no realistic hope of ever making more than 15$ an hour? One where the median wage sinks year after year?

There was a huge paranoid *********/conspiracy theory in the 80s about nazi satanic cultists who played D&D and abused children, I find a *lot* of people still believe the general idea, even if the specifics have mostly been discredited outside the deeply fundamentalist groups.
Maybe, but there's a difference between 'person kinda gets what I'm saying' 'person has no idea what I'm saying' and 'person thinks I said something completely different'. The first one is acceptable, the second can be fixed, the third can create long term confusion.
I think there's some records of Gnostics calling themselves Gnostic starting in the 4th century, but it wasn't common (and I'm too lazy to actually verify that right now).
In the modern sense: I like the term, but there's so much confusion as to what 'Gnostic' means that I can't communicate...
I grant an extra point to Perry, for thinking that the poor don't pay high enough taxes. Rick Perry’s warped tax ‘injustice’ - The Washington Post
They can pretty much ignore labor laws law in my Right to Work state. I've been fired for getting sick (and know a couple pother people fired from the same company in violation of the FMLA). The Department of Labor said there's nothing they can do because the employer didn't need to admit why...
Bachmann is poor substitute for Palin. Santorum and Perry have both brought refreshingly new kinds of crazy.
Plus I want the POTUS to have Santorum's Google problem, so really, Bachmann needs to go.
We have pioneer day in Utah (Anniversary of the Mormons getting to the valley). There's a parade, and a lot of fireworks. Basically it extends the 4th of July season.
it also really screws you up when you're trying to survive on savings. And the 10k thing makes it fairly progressive, assuming no taxes are paid on the 10k. Somebody who makes 60k a year would pay no taxes at all (but also receive no money), only the upper middle class and the rich would have...
I've always hear 20-22%. but the real problem is that you need the 20% just to cover the 10k per person thing., it does drop the cost of other expenses (social security averages 14k a year for example, so most of it could be cu, as well as most other non medical related welfare programs), and I...
You might be right, I used GDP, and the total income may be higher. The principle still stands though, the government can't operate on a 5% tax, even with the massive reduction in entitlement programs.
