Ok, I'm trying to figure out a little here about your religious traditions. In what I call the Old Testament, Sacrifices (animals or grain) were given to the Levites to forgive their sin. The sins would then be forgiven for a while, but have to be atoned for again later. Is this not right...
I would use scriptures in the OldTestament that pointed out that a messiah was comming and then use the New Testament scriptures that matched to confirm. Can you use any of the Bible to point towards any of the other Books that you are using?
As for the Mormon side of things that you are proposing, I can only use the Bible because I believe that it is the inspired word of God. The rest of the writings that you are using are from people that have never met Jesus or were ever spoken of by him.
No, actually historians wrote the rest of what I posted. I didn't pull it out of thin air, which means that the historians that YOU consider reliable may not recognize it.
This is what I agree with:
Correct understanding of the Godhead: God created man in his own image, Gen. 1:2627. The Lord spoke unto Moses face to face, Ex. 33:11. Eternal life is to know God the Father and Jesus Christ, John 17:3.
First principles and ordinances: Except a man be born of...
Too funny! I think we should let God to decide when the time is right. To keep ourselves clean and as sin free as possible maybe we should let him handle the execution as well.
Peter: Most believe that Peter died around the same time as Paul. He was crucified upside down. No bible verse but can be found in Smith's Bible Dictionary.
James: Killed by King Herod by sword in Acts 12: 1 and 2
Andrew: Historians believe he was crucified in Achaia
Philip: No real accurate...
Some of the books in the bible are giving accounts of the same things happening. If more than one person writes about the same things, does that give it more merit?
I have a Bible in front of me telling me how they died. I dont think that you consider that proof at all, but I consider it a historical record of the matter.
Well, you must be reading different historians, because most consider the apostles and Jesus to have lived. Did I meet them in person... no. That doesn't mean they never existed. I understand that you have no beliefs in something that you cant see, hear or feel. That's why it's called faith...
