    Return of Christ

Not by name, no; but both the Jewish and Christian scriptures did! You can see the details here: Baha'i: Prophecy Fulfilled Homepage Peace, :-) Bruce

Original sin is anti-religion; a tool of the Antichrist

    >Original sin is anti-religion--a tool of the antichrist. Quite false! Christians CLAIM to accept the Jewish scriptures as part of their Bible; yet they keep coming up with nonsense like this. The Jewish scriptures explicitly state in Ezekiel 18:14-20 that sin is NOT inherited! So...

    Manifestations of God

It's not in fact a "temple": the primary building there is the Shrine of the Bab (which is His tomb). There are four major administrative buildings nearby. There is a temple site on top of Mount Carmel about a mile away, but that one's not built yet, and currently has only an obelisk marking...

    Return of Christ

NONE of which, however, refutes the fact that the prophecies in the Jewish and Christian scriptures WERE INDEED fulfilled in the years specified! Nor does the Bible in any way claim that there can't also be a TRUE claimant (little as you may appreciate this fact)! Bruce

    Return of Christ

In fact, the Baha'i Faith teaches that the Christ Spirit already returned about a century and a half ago! :-) Peace, Bruce

    Manifestations of God

Precisely what the Baha'i Faith teaches! :-) :-) (Though His Manifestations <aka Divine Messengers> are each distinct individuals, not "incarnations" of God Himself.) Peace, :-) Bruce

What led you to your current religious (or non-religious) position?

    >What led you to yoru cuxrrent religion? Extensive reading, prayer, research, investigation, observation, and evaluation. Bruce

    Demons in Abrahamic Religions

God is One, Supreme, and has no rival or equal! There is thus no "devil" out there trying to "get us." And "satan" is simply our own lower (animal) nature when we give it control instead of our higher (spiritual) nature. BTW, please note the the Baha'i Faith is eminently Abrahamic, its...

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

Not if you view religion as part of the cure, no.

Quran and Bible in the Bahai Faith

Greetings! We view them both as legitimate, God-sent scripture. That said, the Qur'an is indeed perfectly preserved, whereas the Bible does contain a few errors and alterations. A good example is the ending of Mark, which is now so widely regarded as a spurious later addition that most...

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

    (Clearly better than zero.) :-)

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

Lest I forget, I should post the answers to the quiz (which in fact has a bunch of other section/topics as well). Here they are: ANSWERS to Comparative Religion Quote Quiz THE ONLY WAY 1. Buddhism, Dhammapada 20:274 2. Christianity, John 14:6 3. Islam, Imam ‘Ali Hadith 4. Baha’i...

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

To my knowledge spiritual teachings (as opposed to social teachings) remain constant, human alterations and interpretations omitted. Bruce

Baha'i law: Paying 8000 times the weight of earth in gold to the UHJ for adultery!!!

What? Surely you can recognize a mindless attack when you see it. . . .

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

But very simply, that's because each was for a different Age. And as the Baha'i scriptures state [paraphrasing]: "The solution in one Age can never be the same as that in another." Peace, Bruce

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

What you overlook is that in addition to having fully 200 volumes of its own scripture, the Baha'i Faith introduces many new concepts and teachings, such as the prohibition of slavery--something permitted in the earlier religions--, as well as a number of lesser new teachings. Peace, :-) Bruce

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

You're extrapolating: the Bible DOES NOT say Thomas actually touched it--only that he was INVITED to. Bruce
  18. BruceDLimber

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

For the record, IOV that would be the THIRD to last major religion! And in any case, that's an entirely manmade concept: the Qur'an contains no such teaching! Bruce
  19. BruceDLimber

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

Because IOV it is wrong. But I'm not here to tell anyone else what to believe: that's YOUR job to determine, as well as everyone else's! Peace, Bruce

The Baha'i Faith's concept of "progressive" revelation

In your opinion, perhaps. But others disagree and see this differently. Bruce
