    Question for Christians

This is an absolutely nonsensical statement and a good time for me to exit this thread. The Absolute Truth exists eternally as God is eternal and as His children are eternal and eternally the Lord has been revealing Himself to them through various means. The small minded sectarian fanatics of...

    Question for Christians

Yeah.... right.:rolleyes::rolleyes: You make the mistake of confusing Christianity with Capitalism. Anyway this is not the subject of this thread nor is this a debate area. Do you have anything on topic to add?

    Question for Christians

Odd. Since there was no such thing as the Bible when Proverbs was written.

    Question for Christians

Well I agree. No religious affiliation necessary. Jesus never called Himself a Christian. However we must practice the teaching. Yes one can be illiterate and the Lord can teach the essence of the scriptures to that person from within. Sincerity is the only requirement.

How much is your God worth ?

That's funny. I would even call it hilarious if I didn't see the truth of it so much in myself.

    Question for Christians

Speculation is not the way to understand genuine scripture or the Word of God. You would be surprised how many take such things literally. If you look at Christ's teachings he doesn't speculate or bother Himself with old stories except to maybe use them to make a spiritual point. Remember He...

    Question for Christians

I am not going to keep repeating myself brother. You list yourself as a follower of Christ so the ? is, do you think there is anything the Old Testament adds to the teachings of Christ. I say Jesus' teachings are complete in themselves and need no propping up by anything found in the Old Testament.

    Question for Christians

Just to be very clear on my purpose for this thread I am not on a mission to attack the Old Testament. There is much there that I can see that should be edifying for anyone's attempt to become God conscious. My problem is with Christians feeling the need to prove it to be the "100% perfect...

    Question for Christians

Animal sacrifice and the slaughter of surrounding civilizations. The stoning of women and other violators of Jewish law is a good example. We all know the story of the adulterous woman brought before Jesus. The law said she should be stoned. Jesus then taught us a higher path. What the Jewish...

    Hell c'e '!

It's a mystery alright. There is so much we could discuss on anyone of those quotes from Christ but we need to focus on one at a time. Perhaps think laser beam instead of shotgun shell and make your point in that way. The we could respond in a coherent matter.

    Question for Christians

Sorry Domenico I have,nt the slightest idea what all this copy and paste has to do with my quote which you sighted. Perhaps if you used your own words to express yourself I would be able to understand what you meant.

    Question for Christians

Personally I cannot say who wrote what in the bible, old or new testament. I agree the teaching of Christ are poorly understood. The general message I get from Christians is just believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I will be saved. However that is not the message I hear from Jesus...

    Question for Christians

Right. So why do Christians bother carrying it around? The Old having been done away with. Yes there is wisdom in proverbs and inspiration to worship is certainly found in Psalms. However I find wisdom outside of the Bible also as well as inspiration to worship. But all that pertains to that...

    What is sin?

What we were aiming at depends on our motives in doing any action. As monotheists what we should be aiming at is pleasing God with our thoughts, words, and actions. We may externally do the right thing but in our hearts hold other motives. For example it is pleasing to the Lord that we spread...

    Question for Christians

But like so many others you did not mention what inspiration it is to in your efforts to follow Christ.

    Question for Christians

Ba'al, Well we have different viewpoints so agreeing to disagree is our only option at this point. We can leave it to others to research how well the Coptic Christians are doing in in countries like Eqypt or Christians in general do as minorities in Arab countries. One thing is that the word...

    Question for Christians

How can you say Islam has never been spread by the sword. I' been to Mathura India where the temple where Krishna is said to have been born and seen the Mosque that now sits where the Krishna temple used to be. I don't wish to argue but I sense you may not be completely forthcoming.

    Question for Christians

Hi Ba'al, knowing virtually nothing about Islam or the Quran have somehow picked up the impression that that history has it's share of warfare against it neighbors also. I mean look what happened in India. One thing that is of paramount importance to me is free will of each soul to choice...

    Question for Christians

All threads drift away from the OP original question. That is natural. But to bring it back for a moment should followers of Jesus Christ upon reading this story feel inspired and justified in killing their wicked neighbors wholesale here in America? Let's consider modern day America...
