I believe that the non-Catholic contention that Mary could not have lived without sinning is the result of a serious lack of faith, since all the scriptures point to God's command to live a holy life and avoid sin.
Leviticus 11 :44 For I am the Lord your God: be holy because I am holy...
What parts of this creed really strikes you?
Just the words "seen and unseen" tell me so much about the creation and our very real spiritual battles. Make the St. Michael Prayer all the more relevent!
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not...
This is very interesting.

Dear Readers: Do you have any idea when your religion was founded and by whom? If you are not interested in the subject, skip today's column and go directly to...
I can't tell about all this. I was at the Rite of Election for this half of the Diocese and the cathedral was PACKED with people coming into the church at this Easter Vigil. My church is being repared from Hurricane Ivan as is the one on Pensacola Beach, but we're all here and the church is...
This is a Biblical fact. We celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord ...NOT the Jewish sabbath. We ceased being Jews sort of by mutual consent way back in Acts of the Apostles, which I guess will make the allegation true that the Catholic Church did indeed change the Lord's Day...since the...
Thanks guys...
You're all very welcome.
There is great info available here on the net and also from Catholic publishers.
Here are some links to my favorites:

Hey SOG,
Isn't it true that this is not in the original but is actually from the non-canonical (but historical), Didache? We have used it as part of the liturgy for a long time have we not, but it's not in the canon and is not really part of the Our Father?
Pax vobiscum,
I can speak to this part of your issue:
The sacrament of matrimony is recognized between the bride and groom with the priest there as a witness for the church. The other stuff is best asked of a priest, but I doubt that there will be much of a problem.
For good info on just what the church...

Hi Melody,
God love your dear Grandmother! She apparently has missed a whole lot of real Catholic teaching and that is really sad. How, I don't know, because there is plenty of it out there and it's really easy to come by...even for free! See this site...
Hi!
There's a free CD that you can pray The Rosary along with available from the Mary Foundation here: http://www.catholicity.com/
It's also nice because you can pray along with them even as you drive...and has some other Catholic prayers on it as well that are cool. Plus a history of the...
I've heard such before but the fact is that only those Catholics who have heard that from non-Catholics and believed it would say such a thing.
The other reason is that non-Catholics tend to use that as a catch all term and some do not acknowlege us as Christians, which is kinda funny because...
Do you know how many languages he speaks? (I heard 8 fluently...)
Can you pronounce his Polish name?
What part did he play in the ultimate fall of Communism, first in Poland and then in the USSR?
What is his personal motto?
Just questions about a great man...
Pax vobiscum,
If there is no real presence in the Eucharist, then how can St.Paul warn us not to take it unworthily lest we become guilty of the body and blood of the Lord? That "spiritualization" makes complete nonsense not only of the 6th chapter of John, but of 1st Corinthians 10:16-17 "16 The chalice of...
I offer as evidence the following passages of Scripture:
John 6:31-70
"31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert, as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat. 32 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you...
