    Why doesn't God cure amputees?

I'm pretty sure that we all know why God doesn't cure amputees.

    Legalize Marijuana?

Legalize everything and save $70 billion a year. Look at the Swiss.

    What is wrong with Socialism?

Alright, sign me in to the libertarian side of the argument. The Republicans have screwed up our economy by intervening in Iraq and wasting money. They are not true fiscal conservatives. Socialism (while it makes you feel all warm and tingly) will not work because people are greedy and...

Wow...I think I remember this thread too. And, I haven't been here for 3 years!

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

I think that's right. There's already a huge debate over the death penalty, and surely this idea would not gain any momentum among the people.

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

What do you mean? Do you think that people would think that is just too excessive?

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

Not very many experimental drugs kill people. We could possibly extend this to all heinous crimes, like all murders. Drug companies typically don't develop chemicals that would kill their customers. That wouldn't be good, just look at Merck right now. They're losing an amazing amount of...

Why does the ACLU oppose nativity scenes?

Well, I'm not too sure about the exact position of the ACLU, but... I am fine with displays on private property, but when it is on government property it's a different story. So, we have a nativity scene up on Springfield Town Hall. Now the Satanists want to make a decoration right next to...

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

That can be debated. It took the supreme court a while to debate if even the death penalty was cruel and unusual punishment. Maybe prisoners should have a choice, they can choose to either be a candidate for testing, or serve the sentence without testing. Since they will be kept alive longer...

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

I remember that. I'm probably getting the name wrong, was it Josef Gobbels or something like that? He did testing on twin Jews. But, the US does simply not incarcerate someone for their race. You were basically forced into medical testing because you were a Jew, etc.

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

That's why we would keep it a secret. They can't argue with something they don't know about. :)

    Do animals have souls?

No animals do not have souls. But neither do humans.

Is there anything wrong with animal testing?

I have always wondered why we don't test new medications and stuff on criminals who are on death row. They're going to die anyways, and plus, this might help to repay their debt they caused. Since they're humans, we wouldn't have any weird cross-compatibility issues like those we sometimes see...

    Curing Anxiety

Paxil can actually be a very good medication for some, but it's due to it's very short half-life that withdrawal symptoms can be devestating. Paxil is also notorious for weight gain. But, Paxil is one of only a few antidepressants that treat social anxiety disorder, and the only antidepressant...

    Pill-Popping Nation

Interesting responses. I guess the pharmaceutical system of the US is very different from the one in England.
