What Kind of Catholic Are You?

     What about us Protestants?

    ....

Yes, hi there. Nice to meet you all. I'm THEDARKONE4. Just call me DarkOne. Little bit about me: I'm a devout Methodist and have been all my life. I LOVE to argue/debate, whatever you want to call it. I'm sure you might like me now, but about 73% of you will hate me in a few weeks. So...

I think of it as being: You're born with the capability to understand. What you know, has been taught to you.

    Should Church/State be seperated?

Well, in the U.S. church and state should be united as it was intended by the founding fathers, and was abided by for almost 200 years until 1962-1963, when the Supreme Court took what Thomas Jefferson said completely out of context and also changed the definition of church.

    Altruism

Yeah, it's possible. I've done it before. I was walking up to the local movie store one day, happened to see a guy trying to push his truck off the street. I helped the guy get it up. And, when I started back walking, I felt that I had done something good, and I was satisfied with myself.

    Suicide...does God Forgive?

And, you would be right, IF sacrifice and suicide were the same things. Suicide: The act or an instance of intentionally killing oneself. Sacrifice: 1. The act of offering something to a deity in propitiation or homage, especially the ritual slaughter of an animal or a person. 2. Forfeiture...

    Pledge of Allegence

Look, no one is putting a gun angainst your head and making you say it. You act like your being forced against your will to say it. Don't get me started on separation of church and state. Especially since it's only been around, in its modern form, since 1962-1963.

    Religion in school

Religion should be allowed in schools. The only reason it isn't still in schools is because of the Supreme Court of 1962-1963 that took what Thomas Jefferson said completely out of context and also changed the definition of church.

    The Fall of Atheism

Well, considering the guy that wrote that is Muslim, don't you think it has a bit of bias in it. I mean, it's one thing for an atheist to say that atheism is on the decline, but it's a different thing for someone with an obvious bias to say that atheism is on the decline.

    Less Religious Over Time?

I think that the U.S., for one, is more religious now than ever. I mean, there are so many religions that most everyone abides by one.

    Pledge of Allegence

Not about the Ten Commandments, about the issue of the Ten Commandments statue in the rotunda of the Supreme Court building here in Montgomery.

    Suicide...does God Forgive?

Jesus was most definitely not committing suicide. When you commit suicide, you are killing yourself. So, you are murdering yourself. However, murder is a sin. Jesus doesn't sin, so Jesus wasn't committing suicide.

    Pledge of Allegence

Although the major religions have some god(s), under God refers specifically to the monotheistic God represented in Judaism/Christianity/Islam/etc. I am in favor of keeping under God in the pledge. However, I don't really care if it gets taken out. It won't hurt me a bit. Also, if someone...
