    Hidden Israel Gods

They would pronounce the actual name name it represents, not try to pronounce the letters Y-H-V-H. Today during prayer we say A-donoy but this not the actual name. At other time we say HaShem (the Name).

    Why pray over food?

All the blessing start with "Blessed are you L-d our G-d, King of the universe, . . . " Before eating bread we would wash our hands and say ". . . who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the washing of hands." Before actually eating the bread we say, ". . ...

Isaiah 7:14 and the 'almah of early Jewish scholarship

After she was raped she was not a virgin. It is then when she was no longer a virgin that he became attached to her and "he loved the na’arh". All three na'arah (girl), almah (young women), and betulah (virgin) are translated to Greek parthenos. This may be a limitation of the Greek language...

Much of the Oral Law can be expounded from the Torah also so definitely Biblical. Our understanding of this is base on the several thousand years of work by some of the greatest minds in history with resources we can only dream of. We are luck to live in a time when so much of this work is so...

What is the Jewish view on the World to Come?

This may be the bases for what you posted. Where did you find it? If a person dies before rectifying elements of his soul it will be kept in a "happy place" until he can reincarnate and rectify them. It seems that reincarnation is preferable to Gehinnom for someone who is mostly good as he...

Isaiah 7:14 and the 'almah of early Jewish scholarship

It looks as if the Greek parthenos is a more general term then the Hebrew na'arah (girl), almah (young women), and betulah (virgin). The real question is are there better Greek words for these specific Hebrew words. If so then this is a bad translation, parthenos should not have been used for...

What Messianic Prophecies Did Jesus NOT Fulfill?

If a king will arise from the House of David who delves deeply into the study of the Torah and, like David his ancestor, observes its mitzvos as prescribed by the Written Law and the Oral Law; if he will compel all of Israel to walk in [the way of the Torah] and repair the breaches [in its...
