    Book suggestions?

I've recently discovered that my morality is the equivalent of secular humanism. I wish to expand my knowledge of secular humanism. Does anyone have an suggestions for books to read about it?

" Oh my God"...... Soul know you.

That isn't important to the issue at hand. The issue here is that I don't say it because I'm literally calling on any god, it has no real meaning, in my mind it is equal to saying "oh wow", nothing more. I think you misunderstand unbelief, from what I can see it would appear you seem to think...

    Belief

Because that makes you part of their collective instead of someone elses. It's part of that "us and them" mentality.. How else are they going to get you to carry that explosive vest into that group heretics?

" Oh my God"...... Soul know you.

    Because religion has infected it..

" Oh my God"...... Soul know you.

I use "oh my god" as an expletive because the society I was raised in uses it quite a lot. It's just something ingrained in.. Not because I deny a god..

But the lifespan is increasing and has been for a very long time.. Even with a wind down and then back up, we would have much more evidence of people living longer, not that long ago..

In Desperate Need Of A Job

I'm going to have to agree here, if you're in need of that much help you might want to just give in and let her have this one. If she loves you then you two should be able to work it out..

If someone thinks that worms are crawling through his skull because he can feel them moving around up there is that considered an informed trust that the worms are there?

    Faith: a working definition

Yes, I do disagree. I accept the possibility that my car may not start. If I keep up the maintenance and treat it well, keep the tank filled up, it should start. That is not faith, it is acceptance, I have an understanding of my car.. However it is currently broken and will not start.

Christians: Should the US Constitution be amended to be more in line with God's views?

Indeed, I don't want to debate political philosophy with a libertarian, our views are too opposite, lol..

    warning labels?

When a bible is being presented in a school it might should have a label, same for when Origin is shown in a church. "Warning: may contain evolutionary biology which does not concur with this church's views" lol..

    Irrationality and religion

I think in all likelihood he was implying your question is so open that there is too much room for debate. Most people will not jump into a water this vast..

Christians: Should the US Constitution be amended to be more in line with God's views?

I'm obviously not a Christian, but I am curious about the prevalence of people wanting to change the Constitution..
