That's apathy, which many experience, but not all. If you read my previous post, I experience a strange sort of apathy, which I suspect is more common than actual apathy in depression. I care, I truly care, but I cannot find the will within myself to do anything. I am currently seeking help...
I've heard a little about the process for choosing a new (though, under said idea, that wouldn't apply) Dali Lama(sp?). Do you know about when this last happened?
I remember getting at least two letters from the Dali Lama, requesting I come to something when I was small, so I wanted to see if it...
I'm dysthymic, myself. Dysthymia is a less severe, yet more persistent, form of depression. I first started getting erratic symptoms at five-/six-years old, and recognised it at ten or so. As a dysthymic, I am an insomniac, and experience a "normal" day every month or less. My dysthymia somehow...
Hadn't heard about this guy before. Infact, the only celebrity I had heard of before was Dizzy, because I love his music. :p
The article did describe a good bit of why we don't tend to be celebritites; humility is a large part of our teachings. So being a celebrity would be markedly uncomfortable.
One of seven Mashriqu'l-Adhkár (Dawning Place of the Remembrance of God) worldwide, with an eigth in construction. Its the most well known, and widely considered the most beautiful, though the plans for the new one seem to exceed it.:D
Well, we lose our physical bodies, and our main consciousness becoems that of our soul. We continue to grow from whatever point we left off, and, being much more aware of the spiritual side of things (what with being only spiritually incarnate) we would feel our separatin from God more strongly...
We do not discriminate on any basis. To do so would directly go against the teachings of the Baha'i Faith. In practice, we actually do uphold it.:D
Also, we don't paticularly have offshoots. There are a few small groups (who we don't recognize, but thats a long explanation (yes, you may ask for...
Hmmmm......
Not really, though I can see your point. We embrace all religions, but we did come from the East, and are generally considered Eastern. So I think we're placed well enough.
I remember a mini-course I did on religions in S.S. I thought it would be interesting, but it was really rather boring. I guess they didn't want parents complaining. I mean, they even made us take home a permission slip for it.
I am the only Baha'i at my school, but nobody has any problem with...
Confessing to someone that you have done wrong (so that you may receive the appropriate justice) I would find beneficial. However, confession to a human for the purpose of absolution I do not think is healthy, as a fallible being, while they may help us, cannot forgive us for God.
"Bring...

Doesn't appear to be any (minus grammar....).:p
A special note: Interracial marriage is encouraged, not merely accepted.:)
Yes, I'm a Baha'i.
