    Miracles - always and never

A miracle is the suspension of natural law. That's not my own definition. It's the standard one. If I were to define it myself I would be re-defining it. Therefore, I will go by the standard. That said, they never happen. They are merely based on wishful thinking.

    The Rapture, athiests and agnostics

Well according to Christianity if the rapture happened, it would be to late to believe wouldn't it?

Athiests Only: What would suffice as proof of God?

Right. All based on fiction too. DG07: just curious about this forum. I'm new here and I'm a little confused about which forums are off limits on debating. Do fill me in on please.

Atheists Only: Would this be proof?

    1. A rational thinking person who believes in God? sounds like an oxymoron to me. You posted a topic that required a response. Sounds like your intentions were for the purpose of dialog/debate to me. You posted some questions, I responded. Sorry you are unable to handle my responses...

Atheists Only: Would this be proof?

Is your God BibleGod by chance? That's the God I'm referring to. It's not a real God at all. It's a god that was invented by the sadistic humans living in primitive times that had no concept of what the universe was all about at the time. So in their superstious minds they created/invented one...

Athiests Only: What would suffice as proof of God?

    1. How about if God would just simply show up. 2. Miracles such as talking snakes, dead bodies coming back to life, a burning bush that never burns up, virgins giving birth? amazing how so many put their blind trust in such things that allegedly, literally happened thousands of years in the...

Atheists Only: Would this be proof?

No this wouldn't convince me to "just believe" in God. Your analogy is kind of absurd actually. All it does is beg the question as to whether a God hears prayers and heals people by such a thing. If this god of yours is so real, why would there be any need to pray and request that he or she or...

    Reading agnostic literature

Does an agnostic disbelieve in God? If so, then he/she is an atheist also. I guess you can say I'm an agnostic as well as an atheist. I don't believe in the existence of any Gods or anything supernatural. Therefore, I'm an atheist. I don't have any knowledge of a God or gods and pretty...

    Is atheism negative thinking?

What does religion have to do with being positive about surviving an operation or illness? As an atheist I've gotten over a few illnesses in my life and a god had nothing to do with it. What does a belief in an afterlife have to do with any of this either? if anything, the hear and now is the...

    Hello All

Pleased to meet everyone. A friend of mine told me about this forum so I decided to check it and signed up a lil bit ago. Please be gentle with me, I'm a non-believer. Just kidding. Anyway, I look forward to some healthy, civil dialog in here. Just a brief summary of myself. I'm a former...
