I have seen videos of this and it is absolutely ridiculous. It is one of the funniest things I have ever seen or heard.
I speak fluent drunkenese as well and it sounds more reasonable than speaking tongue!
I blame the media for negative portrayal of Americans. To help cushion your pain here are a few Canadian stereotypes
No I don't know your cousin in Toronto
We do have running water
We don't live in igloos
We aren't always in a sub-arctic climate
Not all of us are polite
We do have Barbeques...
That's too bad it's a hoax because I really wanted to attend one of their meetings, I mean all those virgins in short white skirts with apparently great legs!
So why has god given us these needs and wants? What is the point of having a world full of sinners? Why wouldn't he remove sin? An what exactly is a "fleshy need and want"? Whatever they are they sound really great:drool:
Buddhists will accept anyone of any faith or walk of life for what they are, people. If you look at religions they set out to create a false sense of supremicy and judgement. You look at others a sinners and despise the acts that they commit (hate), the bible for sure has been used for years in...
Hmmm, a poorly drawn cartoon making fun of religion! Where have I seen that before? However, with 20% of the worlds population consuming 80% (not exact figures) of the worlds resources and the 20% just happen to be western civilizations where the belief in Christ is predominant perhaps there...
I think brainwashing implies that someone else is forcing you to believe things. Buddhism is all about self, meditation is about self discovery and it is not the same for any two people. Buddhists are not forcing you to have certain thoughts or only see their side of things.
It is still not equal in Canada either. We do however have equal paternity leave. Here the woman gets 3 months of maternity leave at 66% of her wage which is covered by our unemployment insurance (government). Then there is 9 months of paternity leave that the father and mother can split...
I do think religions breed those kinds of emotions and thoughts in people. I don't believe that being spiritual or believing in some higher power breeds those things but, the organized religions do.
Oh and you are forgetting one major one that is clearly evident, Sexism!

In the mid 1800s some people wanted to end slavery. Conservative elements of the church pointed to the Bible and said it proved...
Well, I think that if two mature consenting people want to have pre-marital sex then why not. It has been my experience that the sex gets better after marriage anyway. Both people become more comfortable and know each other better. I honestly don't even think about the sex either of us had...
Perhaps they aren't eager to admit their desperation because of the way people will react?!? For example instead of calling them names like Betta males and deviates, perhaps we should call them people. I don't approve of prostitution but I am also not about to judge those in that lifestyle. I...
I'll be honest, I love Coke. I try to limit my consumption just based on the fact that I am trying to keep away from all "junk food". I drink about 2 litres of water a day (a little more than 64 fl.oz) Some days I do about 2.5 litres and others maybe only 1.5 litres. I find after being a...
